I've written a story that I'm not sure what category it belongs to.

There is no actual sex in it, the characters don't physically meet. They do however meet and talk in the context of an online game.

In-game the characters (the toons if you like) dance, kiss, flirt.

The players (controlling the toons) chat through the game interface, and become involved with each other.

Would this be:

  • Romance - love is in the air
  • Non-erotic - there is no fucking
  • Something else?

I'd go with non-erotic if there's no sex.

Could also be non-human if it's toons getting it on.

But on the whole, I'd go non-erotic.

:)

I'd judge whether it should go in one of the erotic categories or in non-erotic by how sexual and explicit their exchanges and thoughts are. Even without actual sex the story could be quite erotic just based on the back-and-forth and the thoughts of the characters.
