Cannot “re-follow” any authors so the new homepage doesn’t show any of the ones I have been following.

The new homepage says to “follow “ authors so they will list. I am already following 16. It appears that the only way to follow them is to “unfollow” each one and then refollow them.
Also, the “Search by Author” is not allowing author searches, it goes to member search.
