Canes and Caning

In a few days, I'm to have my first experience with the cane. I'm more than just a little frightened, and he knows it. He promises, however, that I'll enjoy it. I trust him, and I'm taking his word for it since he's proven to me more than once that he has a better idea of my own pain tolerance than I do. After reading through the threads on caning in the Library and reading some other information about it, I'm still apprehensive. He's been very patient about listening to my fears (but I think he's enjoying the mindfuck it's doing on me, LOL). I think I'm just rambling now, but I guess I want some reassurances that it's not half as bad as I'm afraid it's going to be! (Or maybe that IS as bad as I'm afraid, depending on how sadistic your mind is.)

Nobody can tell you how bad it will or won't be. Everyone is different and everyone's kinks are. Some folks love that kind of pain. Some Doms inflict minor pain and others go for an all out cane lashing. Some Doms use caning as strictly a form of punishment. Others, for their own amusement (as in the mindfuck, you mentioned.) And still others use it for pleasuring their sub.

How and why it's used on you as a submissive, how and why your Dom uses it as your Master and the technique that's used, is different for everyone.

I hate being caned. But that's just me.

I agree what what Rose said Bi. Just keep in mind that the nastiest flogger and single tail can be used in such a way that it promotes pleasure without the pain. The same wholes true for a cane. If your SO is really nasty he could get a riding crop, that is like 2 toys for the price of one, you get the leather head and then the cane like part. Maybe just take a deep breath and trust that he knows what he is doing??

My Dom always used it as a form of punishment/amusement and I KNEW to fear it and for very good reason. He is as sadistic as I've ever met... aside from AA, who I've never met but read enough of his posts to know he's not joking either.

No amount of begging worked and it taught me real fast that begging would only increase the amount and intensity of the caning. (Begging was the amusement part for him.)

Seriously, though, I do trust him. He's very sadistic, but, lucky for me, I'm a great, big painslut. I just have a little case of the nerves, I suppose. Anyone who'd like to share their on experiences under the guise of making me feel better is welcome to! BTW, Leeroy, I hate the whip with a purple passion. It does NOT help matters that I show horses and have plenty of them lying around, just begging to be used on me, either!

I don't know your Dom, nor do I know you. Sadism is a pretty relative label. What you call "very sadistic" might be nothing compared to another person who uses the label sadist. Or he might be the worst of the worst, as sadists go. And the same goes for "a great big painslut."

I'm sorry if my post offended you. You asked a very subjective question and you got a very objective answer. If you're looking for cutesy-type answers, this thread might ought to be moved to the cafe. If you want serious responses, maybe you could've worded it differently.

Oh, no, your post didn't offend me at all. In fact, I appreciated it because you kind of made me realize how silly I'm being about the whole thing. If I came across as bitchy, I didn't mean to. (It's been a loooong day.) You're also entirely correct about labels being subjective. I'll try the wording it differently part tomorrow, when I'm a bit more conscious.

I finally got played with in a serious manner and I suspect I will be having the bruises last for at least a week, too bad the bite marks lasted just a few hours comparatively. I know she used her crop, a small flogger with short falls, a pingpong paddle, and a plastic fly swatter.

Some of the stuff was very nice and some she used were downright nasty. I thought floggers were my favorite toy but I think I like that fly swatter better because it seems even a light hit still is stingy, where as the leather flogger you get more leeway even if its a sting style IMO.

Bi I used the single tail just for an example because most people relate that to a heavy pain toy, but to hear some people talk they say you can get some nice pleasureable hits too.

I had said that I would never be caned and told this to my first Dom repeatedly. Then when he and I were no longer an exclusive item we would toss emails back and forth until one day we both determined we needed to see one another and express our erotica. The catch I had to agree to let him cane me. I wanted to experience him so badly that as frightened as I was I agreed to not only a caning but also to punishment for making him wait so long. What long? It was only 5 months.

Anyway I went to him and bared my bottom for my first caning. I was hooked with the first woosh of the cane as it cut through the air just before making contact with my tender bottom which by the way sported some lovely marks for nearly 3 weeks after that session.

Now I can't get enough and often ask to be caned for the delight of it all.

Playdoh makes a good temporary handle that is colorful. And you can easily remove it when you find the handle you like!

(Mostly because my air-conditioner has been freezing over, and my landlord won't get his behind out here and fix it. I have no idea how my Dom and I are going to play without passing out tomorrow when it's so hot in this apartment that my effin' candles are melting! That's my main worry at this point.)

My ex would cane me until my backside was black and lumpy with bruising. Once he started to see that happen he would stop, but not until then. Nor did he ever warm up to it.

I don't fear the cane but I don't have good memories of it.

I used to fear the crop and cane but Andante normally works up to the painful stuff so my body has time to get used to it.

That said, I think I would prefer less time between strokes as it is the anticipation that is as bad as the action.
I guess that is why he draws it out

Carbon fiber!

The pure dee best canes are carbon fiber, thicker versions of the Evil Stick-and very easy to make at home!
Arrow shafts can be as light as smoke, and as hard as bamboo, kite shops have carbon fiber rods in different diameters. but a careful eye at local thrift stores and yard sales will yield fishing rods of carbon fiber or graphite for small money.
Cut off the first foot and you have an evil stick, then the rest of the rod can become one or more very flexable and durable switches.
You can even make double canes-I did-that will send a sub into low earth orbit.
Fiberglass can be splintery, wood snaps, plexiglass(such as the plastic blind rod) will break off, but graphite is strong, flexable, and causes bejeezesly pain with scruptious welts.
So off to the kite and archery stores, haunt the Goodwill and be sure to check out the rummage or garage sale circuit!
(An aside, Dollar Tree is selling very light paddleball paddles, with colorful laser cut coating-feather light, flexable and noisey, they can be useful for the sub who really isn't into severe pain, or to torment some nice ripe bruises!)
