I don't see the difference between calling a woman a "cunt" and calling a man a "dick".
 
Here, "fat cunt" seems to substitute "woman who has an opinion that differs from mine." Or maybe just, "woman who has an opinion." Not all of the men are guilty of that mentality. Not even most. But some use it as their go-to insult, and it's very rare that they're called out for it.

I guess I'm wondering why there isn't more backlash from the GB when VatAss or someone else says something so fucking lame and sexist.
 
Calling someone a cunt is a bigoted slur against women if calling someone a dick is a bigoted slur against men.

Doesn't mean it's not a dick move. But it is what it is.
 
You can call me whatever you want but that doesn't mean I am.

Personally, I tend to think that when the big dog cuss words come out the person just lost the arguement and has to do something instead of admitting it.

She didn't say it was the SAME as racism. What she questioned was why it was so much more acceptable to whip out the fat cunt / bitch insult while a racist comment will follow someone for years.

I see where she's going with it, if maybe it isn't articulated as best as possible.

Let's lop off the racist end of the argument.

And go with, why is fat cunt even used as an insult? Do you KNOW they're fat? In most cases no. So it's a lazy "looks" insult added to the cunt insult because they're a woman.

We're dangerously close to going down a sexist route.

And why bother with weak/lazy insults when you can actually be creative or rip apart someone's comments intellectually.

Lazy isn't always bad. I've been known to be a lazy insulter at times. But that usually amounts to calling someone stupid or saying fuck a lot. And usually they ARE stupid, but I was too lazy to point out to the moron how their argument was flawed.

Being a woman has nothing to do with being a fat cunt you fat cunt. Constantly and cowardly talking shit about people in blurts who have never said a bad thing about you are anyone else does.

Thinking it equates to racism and is sexist makes you stupid as well. Own it.
