Fat cunt is similar to calling someone ugly/ugly + insult. It's a petty insult, and lazy. It's also much more commonly used against women (i guess we have to make exceptions for brits who use cunt for everything, i think they even call their food cunts). Appearance insults are typically used against women. Though not exclusively. And like I said, they're petty, and lazy. Men are insulted for maybe not having a job or being or acting "gay".

Bitch is more...acceptable as an insult, but it depends on the usage. Because bitch can be more versatile.

The closest thing to bitch when insulting a man would be asshole. Yes asshole can cross both genders more easily. But I'd say it's a more common insult of a man. So in that sense, bitch is a "fair" insult.

But when bitch is used to belittle in the sense that someone is a bitch/pmsing and that's why they're acting a certain way, then we're slipping down the slope of fucking sexist stupid insults.

Basically by typing this all out, I'm noticing more and more that men are terribly lazy and idiotic when it comes to issuing insults against others.
