Can someone point me in the right direction?

I submitted a story and some (unrelated) audio.

I can't find where on the site it talks about *when* my submissions might appear.

I have a profile and user name, but under my bio page it still says, "This user hasn't submitted anything."

Can anyone point me to the area of the site pertaining to if/when stories get "published?"

It usually takes 3-5 days but can be shorter. If you look under your author page it should show your submission pending though. Main page/stories/submit/login. You'll also see your favorites and stuff there as well. Yes?

Thank you for the help, sethp. I don't see anything on my author page that says "submission pending" or the like. I pasted my 1,800 word story into the submission form/box. I'll wait a few more days. Do the owners of the site let you know via email if a story is rejected? Thanks again!

Right now submissions are running 5 days and since you are a new author it might take a day or two longer. Laurel, the site owner reads everything herself so she is bogged down with submissions as of late.

Yes, it indeed says "pending" in red font.

Thank you very much for letting me know it would at least be 5 days or longer. I really didn't know if I had just submitted it wrong or what. But know I know the stories actually get read and not just posted blindly.

I also uploaded a short .avi that is black video (made in the dark) but you can hear audio only. Do you think that would get accepted somewhere on the site, or kicked back? I made it with my Flip cam because I don't know how to just record audio. I have a microphone but not sure you can just plug that into the computer and make a .wav file.
