It's nice but it's hard to wait all week. I always thought I'd like to be a truckers wife so I had lots of time to myself but now I don't think so.

I don't know about that. I spent most of my marriage being alone with my two kids 'cause of hubbys hours. Only saw him on weekends.

Yeah, the thing is I watched my mother with five kids and my father never home and she didn't have a life outside the house. She was very unhappy whenever he wasn't around. I guess I decided that I'd rather make myself happy if my hubby wasn't around than pining after him. Make sense?

Well in my case, it didn't seem to bother him that he never saw me except for the weekends and I grew used to being without him. It's one of the many reasons we are divorcing now. I am pretty self-sufficient and am able to take care of myself, just wish I had realized that years ago.

I sure didn't and considering what I do for a living I should have realized that I could take care of my girls on my own. I just wasn't ready yet.

LOL It's always amazed me. You guys survive some of the most intense and painful events in the world, do the hardest job in the world, and still cant see that you are strong enough to survive and thrive on your own if needed. Granted it's not as easy or nice as bein with a partner but is surly possible
