I've got plenty to loan you. I've grown immune to most of the meanness I come across over the years. As for acting above it all, no way, not you.

*lots of hugs*

Thanks. I used to get this all the time in high school because I was so painfully shy. I often wouldn't expect someone to actually be talking to me and still today I'm often amazed when someone remembers my name. My self-esteem was so much better a few years ago. Somewhere in the last three years it went down hill a lot.

I totally understand. Until the past few months, my self-estemm has never really been good, but it's been changing all for the better I must say. I was so shy in school that I wouldn't talk to anybody only the few friends I had and that was it. I found out at our graduation that more people knew who I was then I knew how many people were in my graduating class. I swear there were kids I graduated with that I never ever saw my whole time in high school. Go figure, considering I didn't really talk to anybody the whole time I was there.

Don't let it get to you, whomever said it was an ass.

It's funny, had a great day at work but not so good at home. Just like Dr. Phil says, you always have one area in dissarray. Glad you've got your self esteem in order so you can go after what you really want in life now. I think your kids will be happier in time and take better care of themselves for having seen you do it. :rose:

Dr. Phil's statement is very true, seems my home is in total dissarray these days.

As for being an example for the my kids? I can only hope so. I just found out today that they are taking this a lot harder then they are letting on. Oldest daughter's boyfriend said she is really, really upset about it and she is either crying or getting mad at all of us for no reason. I need to find some quiet time where I can just talk to her. The youngest is now starting to be a pain in the butt, she is getting more arguementative. This is what I've been waiting for, now I just have to figure out how to help them deal with it.

School counselor might be able to help? Do you belong to a church where the clergy might be counselors? I don't have any good advice in this area except to keep assuring them that they are not losing a parent and that you both love them. No advice but feel free to talk, I'll listen. :rose:

Wait a minute, this got totally turned around. I was trying to make you feel better, not have you make me feel better. :) Thanks for the advise anyway. Just like everything else I've done, I'll figure it out, I always do.

But you need to feel better too. Don't let others meanness get you down. :rose:

Thanks, gotta go get dinner together and do a couple domestic things. Maybe I'll see you later.
