yeah, no all about the perm/temp job.. which is why i have one of each

I hear you Raja, that's why I work 2 jobs as well, need to pay the bills somehow. *sigh*

well this is the first time I have done a temp position.....no thanks to a layoff from a job I had for 8 yrs EXACTLY (I was laid off on my 8yr anniversary...what a gift huh - thanks for your service but get your ass out the door LOL)

That really sucks keiffers. I lost my job years ago when my boss found out i was pregnant. Tried to sue him, but I gave it up as a lost cause.

well the company I was laid off from and am now a temp for was a great company when I first started there in 97 but they've grown way too fast and gotten away from what it was like back then...doesn't help that they shifted most of their jobs to India and went more for quantity than quality....oh well whatever happens happens and i deal with it when it comes along

Sounds like me. Sometimes you can wish for something to happen, but have to also face the what if it doesn't happen situation.

It's a shame that quality doesn't matter anymore. Nice to know we are giving the people in India employment, while more and more Americans are out of work and are desperate.

Hiya Gypsy, I did. It was just nice not being home, no stress for a few hours, catching up, seeing her kids and family. Now I'm home and back to reality once again. How's your day going?

I guess I can't but I don't really want to....all my experience is with this company, plus I know the job inside and out. The girls don't want me to leave so its up to the boss, which HOPEFULLY i'll find out this week

Any time away from home is a pleasure. I just got through saying to my oldest that I want to run away, she said she'll go with me, we could run away together. Youngest just ignored me as usual, she's just like her dad.

It's a shame that quality doesn't matter anymore. Nice to know we are giving the people in India employment, while more and more Americans are out of work and are desperate.

well the problem with india is that there is no such thing as customer service there....American's are a quirky bunch, we want things to happen a certain way and you can't expect someone overseas like that to understand it...you need an american to understand an american...I'm all for saving money, every business has to, but you can't expect someone overseas to be able to do it the same when they don't understand why us silly americans do things the way we do LOL

well the problem with india is that there is no such thing as customer service there....American's are a quirky bunch, we want things to happen a certain way and you can't expect someone overseas like that to understand it...you need an american to understand an american...I'm all for saving money, every business has to, but you can't expect someone overseas to be able to do it the same when they don't understand why us silly americans do things the way we do LOL

well I do all my contact with customers through email, and they think I'm in India, but the thing is that I have to deal with the same things when I talk to India internally....it frustrates me and my coworkers when we know how to fix something (especially via shortcuts) and the people in India will not do it cause the policy book doesn't say it.....they just won't think outside of the box and that's what you have to have to take care of an American customer...period

oh i know that.....goes back to the conversation we had last night about parents being scared of their kids.....it's sad that society has become the way it has....sometimes I think it's better that I don't have kids, cause i certainly would not want to subject them to what today's world is capable of doing
