I don't think he disapproves of it so much as just doesn't think about it or find it to be center to his agenda. But he hasn't dismissed the GLBT community's concerns, although the change they would love to happen hasn't come as fast as they'd like. More to the point, he hasn't done anything to get in the way of gay marriage steadily becoming reality in the country, which is a better benchmark to base his actual viewpoints on, I feel.
