Okay, I have friends who are a 24/7 D/s couple and they have a custom built cage under their bed, as well as cages built into their playroom. I have also heard from a few other submissives that they like cages.

I had a talk with Sir about this, who thinks it a "hot" thing. I personally cannot imagine what any submissive would find erotic or exciting about a cage, to me it's only possible use would be as punishment, like solitary confinement to a convict, and to me it would be nasty punishment.

Can anyone tell me what I am missing here?

I have large dogs, so I have a big collapsable metal kennel/cage - about 3' high, 4.5' length. I would love to kick the dog out sometime and trade places, playing with Mistress in this way!

as a sub, i ejoy the idea of a cage because it accentuates the actual D/s relationship, adds another level of intensity. the only cage i've ever been in is a cage set up in a club for dancing (no, i'm not a stripper, it's just a really cool club) so i've never actually experienced a real "caging" but i do like the idea of being trapped. i could only handle it sometimes, as serious punishment for some egrigous error, but the idea is still neat.

All of these could be done without a cage, but there is something erotic about the physical boundaries.

Agrees with My girl on that one, a great place to play a cage, and it doesn't need to be punishment, if u are bound in the cage and you are teased thru the bars.. with oh say a feather... it can be very interesting.. just use the imagination and all things are possible

A cage covers so many aspects of pleasure for both submissive and Dominant I think, or at least those who are into it. For myself I love the total control, the power factor, and that wondering if he will reeturen, when, for what, alone or with company...the scope of erotic and submissive bliss is limitless for us. Of course, then you have to decide what type of cage and what features it will incorporate, and as Richard mentioned, how to pull it off if you lack privacy. We are alternating between lets just get one and not say anything, to my suggestion of draping something over it when not in use (or perhaps even then) to give it dual purpose and anonymity. Of course we have discussed the under the bed option which to me adds an extra dimension of pleasure, especially if he is sleeping the night in the bed above while I am locked away for the night, but our bed is too low. Although, I love the privacy of cages in dungeons. If I want to hang with a good bottom friend of mine when things are winding down, I crawl in and close us both in, it's cozier.
