According to my handy calculator, adding up the category totals reveals that there are nearly 180,000 stories (including chapters as stories) published on Literotica.

Searching stories for the last 12 months reveals that over 25,000 stories/chapters--or around 2100 per month--have posted in the last year. And, of those 25,000+, nearly one-third carry a "Hot" rating of 4.5 or above!

So: are readers getting less discriminating? Is the writing getting better? Are authors developing fan bases that elevate the scores?

And does anyone else think it's getting a might crowded around here?

I dont believe most readers or writers know a good story when they see one.

I can't find the source at the moment, but one writer did an article evaluating the trending in scoring. Scores have been steadily dropping for the past 4 years, so if it's a third now it was higher in previous years.

Most people I've talked to have found it getting tougher to acquire the red H rather than easier.
