I was wondering how many people who read this site buy there own gear or mostly make theres. I have a mixture of equipment my self most of my restraint equipment I have is home made. all of my sex toys and and punishment tools are store bought. What about you maybe we can share ideas on this thread.

I have a very creative Dom who has made lots of our "toys". He even made a contraption so I could be tied spreadeagled to the hotel bathroom door the last time.
And when we discussed electro play he produced a megga and made nipple , clit and anal attachments for it ( amazing what you can get on ebay lol )
If I come up with an I'd like to try then he makes the whatever to make it happen.
Good with his hands and his mind.

I have some pervertables, but most of my stuff comes from local crafts people. I have some beautiful paddles, single tails, and floggers from them. I have a paddle I made myself, but it does not look half as good as the stuff I have purchased. The crops are from a local tack shop and the rope from a rope maker down in the states.

I think it depends. I want to make my own spreader bars and will get around to it. I will also probably make my own cross, but we will see. There is a complex piece of dungeon equipment I have in my head that I will probably see if I can find someone to make.

I've improvised all sorts of things with whatever was handy, but sitting down and deliberately crafting a purpose made toy? Nope.

Honestly, I'm not that good with my hands. I can restore furniture, cook, do basic home and car maintenance and that's about it. I'm perfectly happy to pay someone much more skilled to produce what's in my head.

Well, that's not entirely true...I'm great with my hands at two things and am a decent basic metalworker...but I lack tools, space for tools, money to buy tools and time to actually cultivate my skills.
