Burn the bitch stories

The idea that divorce is fair is a joke spread by morons, women, and men who haven't been divorced.

Heres a wonderful divorce case, it happened. It made national papers for a while.

Guy made 30,000 a year. Wife made 60,000. They had 1 kid. Wife divorced him. Took the kid and the house and the car. He had to pay child support, alimony, car and house maintenance as well.

His total yearly bill was 45,000 a year.

He was put into jail for non payment. He needed to spend money on feeding, clothing, and putting a roof on HIS own head.

That begs for supporting sourcing. I think a court awarding more alimony than someone makes (without firm evidence of hidden money) is pretty much an urban legend.

I’ve read more than one or two cases like this in the news. Have to see if I can find any, but there have been enough that it’s not an urban myth unfortunately.

Thanks for providing a great illustration of my original point, Pocketshaver. I didn't have time to research examples for myself, so my comment was just speculation. I appreciate you providing some anecdotal evidence.

I don't believe this without a source. In the state in which I live, this would be legally impossible. I'm a man, I went through divorce, and I researched the law thoroughly. Every state in the US allows no-fault divorce, and support orders are mostly a matter of applying formulas based upon income and who has the kids.

None of this is to say that divorce isn't hard (it is) or that it isn't sometimes unfair (sometimes is is unfair).

But divorce usually is harder on the woman, financially. Usually, the woman makes less money and she often keeps the kid or splits time with the kid. Post-divorce, women more often suffer financially than men do. This is a well established fact backed up by many, many studies. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5992251/

But none of this, anyway, has anything to do with Literotica stories. Literotica stories are fantasy stories. It still poses the question why anyone would insist that this fantasy world conform to someone's demand for vengeance based on a very narrow and inaccurate picture of the way the world is.

I don't believe it. There must be something missing from the story. Perhaps the man's income dropped after the support order was issued. Based on the formulas that apply in almost every state in the US, this would be impossible unless someone made a very big error.

It is not an urban myth, it does happen. It mostly happens when the male was making a very large income during the divorce settlement and then lost their job. The new job is a fraction of their old income. It takes a little while for them to be able to pull together enough money to fight the old settlement.

How do I know, they have spent nights in my spare room because they were tired of living in their car because they tried to pay their child support.

Divorce is not fair, in the past it favored the female on child custody and support payments because they were often the biggest losers in the breakup of the marriage. This may change as women start making the same income as men and/or courts learn to recognize that a working male can be a single parent on the same level as a working female.

Personally, my biggest issue is when the spouse with custody of the children remarries to someone who financially secure and the poor spouse who is a wage slave has to "provide" for their children who now live in a very large expensive house and go overseas for vacations. At this point, they are not "supporting" their children, they are giving them an allowance.

There's no question that divorce can be very hard on those who go through it (I know this) and in some cases it can result in inequities. The urban myth is the general narrative that men "get screwed" in divorce. They don't. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes the woman gets screwed. Sometimes nobody gets screwed, but it's still hard on everybody. It's financially hard suddenly for two people to have to support kids in two separate homes.

I don't want to get into a long discussion about divorce. The point of this thread is the appeal of these kinds of stories.

Sooooo, new BTB story landing Friday or Saturday (based on previous approval times)

Pre-Reader feedback is it's quite humorous. :D

I'll post a link when it hits.

Mine drops tonight. My first attempt at a serious BTB, I don't count the one paragraph job I wrote to piss off the BTB crowd.

Thanks to whoever it was the AH who inspired me to use the trailer park angle.

LOL, loved the ending. Except I would have liked to see it more like the Wizard of Oz where the WHOLE house...don't want to give it away ;)

So here you go. Something VERY original (I hope)

Fido - To Protect And Serve!

How to shoot yourself in the foot.

Dear Laurel, would love it if this story could published on the 7th.

Laurel dear runs across it and hits the publish button in the middle of the afternoon so it sits with LAST NIGHTS 7th postings. It's already lost 3/4 of the day.

When doofus author meant publish the night of the 7th which would make it the 8th. Lost thousands of views, comments and votes with my own stupidity. (kicks his own ass one more time)

Anyway genuine thanks to Laurel for doing that for me. I appreciate it even though it was my dumb move...

So comments welcome. I'll start a feedback thread.

I think you should quote your source/s, or at least put some sort of time line on it.

Your location has you in the UK. Laws are back wards and back assed in that pesky little island nation.

So keep your thoughts, concepts, ignorance of AMERICAN law out of a discussion based upon AMERICAN law.

its why we sent you little buggers packing back to that shitty little island

The concept "quote your sources" isn't a distinctly UK concept. We value that here in the good old USA too.

Your comments haven't demonstrated any knowledge of American law on this subject, so you are in no position to criticize anyone.

Besides, that's a rude way to talk to our UK friends. Or anyone.

The only Englishman that gets respect in the states is Churchill. ONLY because he had the balls to actually get the job done. NO respect for the way he got us into world war one with Lusitania.

Lots of Englishmen get respect in the U.S.
Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page spring to mind in music alone.
Tommy Fleetwood and Nick Faldo in sports, George Orwell, J.R.R. Tolkien, Agatha Christie and a host of others in literature, you can see that the list of well respected men and women of the British Isles is very long.

Oh, I don't know. I think it was rather clever of him to convince the United States to go to war against a ship.

No, I'm sure it was that Roman brawl we took care of with Winston; You know, Lusitania—that ancient Roman province on the Iberian peninsula.

In that scrap he must have done pretty good...after all, there's no more Roman Empire is there

But, if he was involved with the sinking of the Cunard liner Lusitania—which by the way is said to have been sunk by a German submarine in the Atlantic in May 1915 with the loss of over 1,000 lives—well, that would change his legacy for sure

ETA: I'm confused, or maybe lost; I came in here to finally find out who burned the bitch...nobody is saying Churchill did it, are they? That would really push him down there in the gutter with the lowest of the low...I'd be shocked out of my shorts

Old white men who have done little of note recently. That's respect.

Ok, the story has been up almost a week.
Here's my (tentative) assessment of what a BTB ending does for you.
1. Sharply reduces the number of comments, particularly rude or threatening comments.
2. Has no real effect on score or number of views.
3. Reduces the number of favorites.

Overall, this reinforces what most of you already knew; the BTB crowd isn't worth pandering to.

Can't say #1 or #3 is my experience. I have a few stories. Comments have gone both ways and they are the most favourited out of my stories.

That being said I agree it's not worth pandering to them, however... A story comes out as a story comes out. If that's where it ends up...
