I just reread what I said, And those words that it works differently in different states never came out of my... Well I'm voice texting so mouth. What I said is that states have to initiate the acceptance of FEMA for FEMA to move in. And then I gave the example of the governor in Louisiana when Katrina hit.You very specifically did say it works differently in different states.
You did say that was whining.
And I didn't say putting the pressure on for FEMA to step up their game when they're dragging their feet is whining. What I am saying is that for a state not to do anything to help itself and not to seek resources other than FEMA as well, and then to go complaining that the federal government isn't doing enough to help you, that is whining. But Florida communities have helped one another, as have Texas communities, And I've been impressed at how quickly and how much that can do and get done before FEMA actually even shows up. The private sector will always be the better equipped agency for the job. There's only three jobs that the private sector cannot do... You shrink government down to constitutional size again and you leave people alone and leave people's money alone and let them live free, they will cover the costs of helping people out. They will volunteer their time and energies and effort. They will do the job and will do it more efficiently.
