See you're just proving my point. I lay out my case at length because it is a well thought out case that is well rooted in history. You quote bumper stickers and then spew hateful comments that can get reaction. You call my statements boring as hell. But what I'm doing is critical. Thinking what you're doing is reacting and quoting every little talking point and bumper sticker your liberal gods told you to quote. That's why I have so little patience with people like you. It's not your viewpoints. Is that they are mindless viewpoints.Nah. You're boring as fuck.![]()
And for facts you are going to go to the politico... Literally the most liberal and biased news source you can go to. An organization that is run by a very small handful of openly liberal people who have explicitly said their goal is to oppose conservatism and to push a liberal point of view. And that is where you expect people to get their facts. Then you wonder why we as conservatives look at your news sources and laugh. For our newest "new" member of the PB:

Let's see....who in the Right Wing Circle Jerk used to use that excuse all the time in their alts?
Hmmm?
Read the post above about what happens when you dismiss points of view that you don't like simply by putting labels on people. It's cheap. Pathetic. It's lazy. And it's not critical thinking it's bumper sticker thinking.sooo....."Shoot Teh Messenger"?

There's a good review of what the reliability of politico in their so-called unbiasedness really isg
Did you go to that review... And it's one of those actually considered and well balanced reviews of the media and their biases and finding out who you can trust. They aren't a conservative source. And they made it very clear that the politico is very left-leaning.3 for 1

And by the way, could you at least bother actually expounding on your beliefs and why you believe them as opposed to using emojis and then one-liners... It's really not painting your viewpoints very well when you can't express why you believe what you believe and you can only call names and use emojis.Did you go to that review... Where in Texas are you from, cowboy?Read the post above about what happens when you dismiss points of view that you don't like simply by putting labels on people. It's cheap. Pathetic. It's lazy. And it's not critical thinking it's bumper sticker thinking.
My closest friend, a man who is more like a brother than my own family and my own brother, lives and works as a computer programmer in Austin. My aunt lives in San Antonio. I have a few other people in that state. We regularly have conversations about these things. So I get their point of view and they actually have pretty wide varieties of variances in those points of view. So I don't live in Texas, but I sure do pay attention to where Texas is at in their spectrum....Where in Texas are you from, cowboy?
I work and live in Houston.

By the way, if you want a great commentary on all of this as far as the Texas mindset goes, Go to the Babylon Bee And look up their video series on a Californian moves to Texas. They are getting rave reviews from Texans because the Texans are acknowledging that they nail it.

I also don't live in California, but I don't need to live there to know that Californians are fleeing California. I don't need to live there to know that you're having problems in your big cities with drug needles and human feces on your streets... Or their streets. Apologize for assuming you are a California. I should never assume something that horrible about someone.I see. You know a guy who lives in Austin, and your aunt lives in San Antonio. You don't actually live in Texas though.
I live in LA and you’re quite uninformed about what big city life is like in California. People are leaving simply because housing is too expensive. There’s a big YIMBY movement out here to push for more housing, but it will take years to build enough to bring the prices down.I also don't live in California, but I don't need to live there to know that Californians are fleeing California. I don't need to live in Tennessee to know that is a wonderful bastion of conservatism and that if I were to choose a state that I wanted to ultimately move to, especially as things get worse in this country as policy goes, Tennessee would be one of my choices. I can study and pay attention to what people are saying. I don't have to live in the state to know what's going on in that state. Something called research. There's something called interviews. There's something called conversations. Something called the internet that gives you access to all this stuff and you can research it well if you do it with a balanced mind. And frankly I am about as redneck as they get... I happen to be an educated redneck who also likes my opera and my classical and my culture and all kinds of other niceties of non-redneck areas that are well done.... And I get along well with my friends from Texas and I have many a conversation with people from Texas. And I served in the military with a whole bunch of Texans. I don't just know a guy from Texas. I don't just "know a guy". Trivializing is yet another defense mechanism against having to do research. Stop it.
