I have never said that all blacks are intellectually inferior. One of the most intelligent friends I have ever had was a Negro college professor. I am not saying "I am not a racist because I have black friends." I do not care of anyone calls me a racist.

There are Negroes who are intelligent, monogamous, and law abiding.

There are also Orientals who are stupid, promiscuous criminals, but I have never known any.

My parents taught me to be sympathetic to blacks. Black criminals have beaten that sympathy out of me. No white person, no East Asian, and no Hispanic has ever committed a crime against me. I in turn have never done anything to harm any black person on earth.

True, some people will commit crimes (like, say, Donald Trump) who are not the victims of privation. But when you have a noxious brew of poor education, poor housing, poor healthcare, poor nutrition etc. etc. etc. you're setting yourself up for trouble. In any case, even if it didn't reduce crime, proper healthcare, housing, education, nutrition etc. would be good things in themselves, no?

The sentiments go back and forth over the years. There are times when revenge is all the fashion, times when rehabilitation and "paying your debt to society" are encouraged. The ideas of the "reformatory" or the "correctional institution" or the "penitentiary" (from doing penance) stem from the idea that people can be reformed.

If they can't, then things are looking pretty grim, especially in your country, where almost two million of your fellow citizens are in some form of "correctional supervision"!
