Bump this every day Trump doesn't release the Epstein list that ultra-dumb Deplorables swore he would

Yup, the MAGAts want us to take easy on rich people who sexually exploit minors, so there will be no release of Epstein files today.

Besides, Bondi needs more time to tamper with the evidence.
Not to mention torpedoing the IRS so those rich people have lots of money to pay their lawyers when they get caught sexually exploiting minors!

True, some people will commit crimes (like, say, Donald Trump) who are not the victims of privation. But when you have a noxious brew of poor education, poor housing, poor healthcare, poor nutrition etc. etc. etc. you're setting yourself up for trouble. In any case, even if it didn't reduce crime, proper healthcare, housing, education, nutrition etc. would be good things in themselves, no?

The sentiments go back and forth over the years. There are times when revenge is all the fashion, times when rehabilitation and "paying your debt to society" are encouraged. The ideas of the "reformatory" or the "correctional institution" or the "penitentiary" (from doing penance) stem from the idea that people can be reformed.

If they can't, then things are looking pretty grim, especially in your country, where almost two million of your fellow citizens are in some form of "correctional supervision"!
Poverty is no excuse for crime. It is not even an explanation. I lived in downtown San Jose, California, when the area was overrun by Vietnamese war refugees. Most of them were desperately poor. They were also good people. They took any job they could find and obeyed the law. Vietnamese teenagers did not spend their days harassing their teachers. They tried to earn, even though many knew little English. They did not spendi their nights getting into trouble. They did their homework.

I would often get off work at 10:00 pm, and walk two miles to get to my apartment, walking through what was becoming Little Saigon. I was safe. I would not be safe walking through the downtown areas of many U.S. cities that late. This is what Jesse Jackson has to say about that:

Vietnamese teenagers had every alibi for dysfunctional behavior. They had grown up in war zones. Then they spent several years in refugee camps. They did not need alibies.

^^^Off topic.

This thread is about the Epstein files. It is not another opportunity for you to over-simplify the intergenerational legacy of slavery and systematic oppression in the USA.

Stick to the topic.

I keep getting pulled off the topic by posters who write sentences like, "It is not another opportunity for you to over-simplify the intergenerational legacy of slavery and systematic oppression in the USA."

If "systematic oppression" breeds social pathology, how can anyone explain the excellent performance and behavior of Jews and East Asians?

I have frequently on Literotica expressed my contempt for Trump and his connection with Pedophile Island.

Take your eugenics theories to another thread where that is being discussed.

Of course not.

Just because someone (or a group of someones) is treated horribly by your society, doesn't make their crimes any less criminal.

On the other hand, if you're going to go all Javert, don't be surprised to see a lot of Jean Valjeans. If you're going to keep them in the gutter, you're going to have to get down there in the gutter yourself to do it.

The Trump Epstein ā€œBest Friends Foreverā€ statue returned to the National Mall.

Celebrating friendship is important in these trying times.

Was it reinstalled by the National Guard troops deployed to Washington as political props?
After reading this article, we naturally wonder why it took the Pig at least fifteen years to decide that Epstein was a "creep".

It's good to know that they'll still be BFFs in the Great Beyond. The statue has that certain ethereal quality.
