Buffy: Countdown to the Apocalypse

She really didn't trap it, it could have left if he wanted too. But if she was on the verge of death, I think it would have kicked in anyways.

Most likely that would have occured, but hey it makes the show better to have Dawn *pass* the power, as Xander said.

Oops, I was thinking about Sleeping Warrior and I meant 2 weeks ago, not two days. I guess we just don't have any sports teams down here that are good enough to replace normal shows?!

I dont consider the Orlando Magic basketball team to be good. And damn sure not good enough to drop Buffy for. Their GM must be a vamp. Need to slay his ass...

Yeah I would be none too happy if they put a game on instead of Buffy. I have a hard enough time catching re-runs of the episodes I accidently miss. Isn't next week a re-run? That means they'll probably show that one, it always works like that.

I loved this week's ep .... am I the one of the few Buffy geeks who wants more plot advancement, less action? Xander is the sweetest most wondeful thing sometimes... well, except for when he's leaving his love at the altar. sighhhh.

About Spike helping train potentials - yes, he killed those people earlier - and it's because he was under the mind-warping power of the First. He's been able to fight Buffy for a while now..... but - he twisted that one slayerette's arm pretty well during training - what's up with his chip?

Yay for the return of hot'n'sexy Spike, even though loopy crazy Spike was fun, too. I really thought the First's 'torture' (a few weeks back) of having Spike repeatedly dunked headfirst into water was lame - it wasn't holy water, evidently, and vamps don't have to breathe - Angel was stuck down in the ocean for HOW LONG??? so, the wetting Spike's head - irritating, but not very torturous, I think...

and Thank God Dawn isn't a slayerette.... I can only imagine how irritating the sister bickering would get on that issue!

Ya, next week is a re-run and the week after is a new one again.

Xander love is coming up soon.

It wasn't a horrible episode or anything...I guess I'm just way impatient and want to know what's going to happen. I thought that was weird about Spike's chip not going off too. I'm liking Dawn better but still not enough to have made her being a slayerette standable. She seems to complain a little too much for my taste. But those potential slayerettes really get on my nerves so Dawn is looking less and less whiney.

*sigh* Where's Rasta with one of his recaps when you need him?

(It was a stupid Kings/Nets game in my area.)

Felicia -

if you want spoilers, pm me, I'll send you the site I was reading.

or just ask Cibo, probably an even better source!

Heh, I won't post spoilers unless someone PM's me then I'll send it to them if they really want it.

Well, I've gotten used to having both...

I have not gotten used to them moving Angel to Wed. yet. I missed the show last nite. Did anyone see it and how did it go?? please?

It was hardcore.

And for the first time ever, I'm actually scared of a Buffy/Angel villain. I think The Beast is fucking terrifying. I had nightmares about him all night long! And then the TX from Terminator 3 saved me, but she wanted to kill me too, but offered to fuck me to death. She was hot. But the weird thing was, she was alternately the girl who actually plays the TX and then Portia DeRossi from Ally McBeal.

Weird.

Grrr i can't watch Angel either because it comes on during the West Wing.

This blows.

It was hardcore. How the hell do you kill The Beast? Not by kicking him into the portal. Guess only Angelus holds the answer.

Thanks. I've thought about checking out some spoilers but I really don't want to. I really want to know what's going to happen but I want to watch it and not know what's going to happen at the end of the episode. Yes I know it sounds so damn picky. Of course if the suspense gets any more suspenseful I may have to reconsider, I'll let you know.

So Angelus is coming back but on Angel not Buffy right? I know someone had said Angel wouldn't be on Buffy or anything like that. I'm really tempted to start watching Angel after all the good things I've heard but I haven't watched it forever so I think I'd be pretty lost.

I don't think it's picky at all. I too am spoiler free (though reading this thread makes it difficult), because I know the payoff will be worth it with this writing team. Ever since I saw B2 and knew what was coming first, but then seeing it? And realizing how powerful it would have been had I not known? Well, let's just say I appreciate that the writers try to do.

okey dokey, got a question, "do they plan on syndicating angel?" Like I can catch Buffy re-runs, when will we be able to catch Angel re-runs?

Needs 100 eps before syndication.

And for the poster above, yes, the two shows will be crossing over. UPN and the WB gave Joss the go ahead as a sign of goodwill and thanks.

Hmm, haven't heard anything about that, but I do know buffy is taking a trip.

WAAA AHHHH

Angel got preemted here last night for some crappy basketball Wizards game!

anyone willing to please sum up for me, pretty please?!?

sounds like i missed a good one!

Spike's chip doesn't work anymore because he has his soul back. If someone wanted to get technical it would still work but by the same standards it wouldn't. The chip was configured for how Spike's brain worked as a soulless creature, my guess is that having his soul back means his brain works different and now whatever was programmed onto the chip no longer works because the mind and intent has changed.

Maybe Rasta could pull out the crib notes and explain why the chip no longer works. I'm sure it is in the plot line somewhere or at least has been explained by the writers somehow in the production note or such.
