Brown... ?

It's brown for gods sake!!

So why do paint makers call it anything but.

Often under the guise of the term "naturals".... called callico...stone... clay.....anything apart from brown.

Maybe we shoud all have a go.... invent a name for brown and leave it below!

Well, after all the food names for brown I suppose it would naturally follow that another name for brown could be 'poop'. But doubt that the local paint store could market 'poop' for you choice of wall color. Might work in an infant or toddlers room though.

Oh Al's so funny....I deal with colors of ink all day long. I simply love: Walnut, Trail Tan, Toffee, Spice, Brown Velvet, Burnt Sienna, Nutmeg, Golden Brown, Burnt Umber, Chocolate, Golden Honey Brown, and yes just plain brown.

Now should we talk about Blue?

lol this sounds like a novel by one of my favorite authors Nick Evans...it's called 48 shades of brown ... The main character is this 17 yr old boy. The girl he likes once mentioned how it's cool that some people know the names to all the birds so he goes and memorises all shades of brown to classify birds...then one day just stands at her bedroom door and recites them all.
