Stopping in to say Good Morning !
hope your getting over your Bronchitis soon T 4 T :rose:

Hey all. I have Internet again for the next 2 weeks. So you are stuck with me for a bit.

Yep - winter returned!

Meteorologists here in the NY Capital Region are calling for:
Wind
Rain
Snow
Mix

At elevation, up to 2 ft possible. Here in the valley (Mohawk River/Erie Canal) 2-6 inches, but "Don't be shocked if you see just an inch on grassy surfaces and nothing on sidewalks and road surfaces."

Nice to see you RJ and thanks for posting.

Here in GB we are having what you experienced a couple of weeks back, for the past 3 days no where the temperature got above freezing, there's an Easterly front, called the Beast from the East, blowing cold air directly from Siberia and on the West Coast they have storm Emma, where they meet there's mayhem.

For the first time in over 40 years the Met Office has issued a RED weather warning for a 1/4 of the country, whilst the rest is still on Amber.

I drive a Land Rover fitted with some really aggressive tyres and yesterday I was afraid of getting stuck in one of the many drifts, eventually slowly but surely I managed to negotiate my way out of it, dodging abandoned trucks and assorted cars and lesser 4X4s . . . . no time to take pictures, far too busy looking at where I was going and wouldn't have dared stopping, just using my momentum.

For many years I lived in both Toronto and Edmonton, and I can't remember the roads being so bad.

Oh yeah, Brett:

Today my doctor diagnosed what I thought was the beginning of rheumatoid arthritis - it runs in the mom's side of the family - as osteoarthritis. My wife asked me, "So what do you need to do?" I told her, "Soak my hands and wrists in hot water." She thought for a moment and said.

"Oh, so you doing the dishes more will help, huh?"

We knew better than to put the shovels away. Some of our neighbors did last week. Hopefully all I have to do is brush off the car for my wife.

Hey all. Nice to be posting with you in real time but this thing is f*cking slow.

Lol. I'm thrilled to see BrettJ back. And ticked that you all get snow and not me. It's sunny and very breezy here. I've all my spring decor outside if it's not blown away. Still fighting bronchitis. I'm better but still !

8 freaking inches of heavy wet snow!

Who needs to go to a gym when you shovel this shit like you're mucking out a stable or dairy stalls? LOL

Peeking in to leave a quick hello to you all ❤️
BtettJ, much love and good wishes to you my friend. I’m so sorry for what you have had to endure.
I do love and miss you all ❤️❤️

T4T, I recommend hot buttered rum . . . lot's of it . . . better than chicken soup as a cure-all. :D

And look who stopped in to say hello . . . NRSE . . . so nice to see you back for a visit! Like the new AV . . .

Nice to see all of you including our much-missed NRSE. Hugz to her and all whi wanr one.

Had a good day in Toronto yesterday and today seemed to be going well enough. Sadly, about 90 minutes ago I got a "visible sign" all is NOT well. While I am not panicking, I am at the hospital again to make sure nothing serious is going on.

The f*cking universe refuses to cut me some slack.

Brett

My thoughts and prayers go with you

Hey all. Trying to post as much as I am able while I still have the Net.

Was violently ill today. Maybe the sickest I've been in many, many years. Fine now aside from residual pain. Nothing left in my stomach. I am weak but now mobile.

Hoping all are well.

It pains me to hear that Brett, but as long as you are mobile the weakness can be taken care of, perhaps a nice big fat T-bone steak and lots of chunky fries could help . . . . don't forget a couple of eggs, sunny side up, thrown in as well!
