Good Morning "Everybody":kiss::rose:
I see some of you are back from an enjoyable Wknd Vacation:) ~ wishing you all an exciting & fun Juice Day :)
sorry but my time is always very limited on Lit:(

The only problem I find with currants LING is that sometimes they can dry out or be a bit gritty. NOT fussy on the ones with Chocolate Chips. My one-time coffee shop had plain, chocolate chip, coconut, raisin and pecan. Theirs were amazing, as they were made at a bakery and had the crystalized sugar - a sign they are freshly made and not processed.

I have a box I could make up, but I keep eating the raisins. I love raisins (sorry Garfield)

Have never tried them but they sound yummy. I like oatmeal raisin cookies. Or anything with pecans or walnuts. The ladies I worked with called me this morning to say hello and let me know I'm missed. They told me to come visit soon and when I do bring one of my pumpkin pies. They made me smile and laugh. Coacheric that's very impressive. I was never a runner. I don't have the body for it. But I can walk all day. For 52 I am very active. Summers are spent in my pool. Which I will be closing soon :(

Quiet in here since this AM. Got some errands done today. I have a new external hard drive, 1 TB. It was almost half the price as its predecessor - amazing how prices are dropping. I'll have lots of computer space when I transfer files over, but I won't leave it plugged in all the time.

One thing annoyed me - the dinky cord. Jeez, what did that cost them - $1.25. I hate it when companies cheap out on things.

I'm not a fan of raisins as an ingredient. They are fine by themselves, or in trail mix, but I don't like them in pies, cookies, salads, etc.

I too wonder why external hard drives have such small cords. Not that size matters.

I am the anti-Garfield in that I love raisins in almost anything. I could eat the darned things every day.

The dried fruit I am not supposed to eat is Apricots (which I love) A few of them are almost as high in sugar as a chocolate bar.

My older externals had longer, flexible cords. However, I've freed so much space on the computer (over half of my desktop is now free and I'm not done yet) that I won't complain. I might still get my older one back at some point.

I've also backed up the writing files for the time being, hopefully no more massive crashes.

Hey, I passed another big number, now at 23 thousand+ posts.

I run two 1 TB external hard drives. One is the hourly backups and the other I use for storage of most of our files. I think I paid $70 for the new one.

That is about what I paid for the new one - despite the crappy cord. I don't even know if it'd reach around from the top of the desktop to the back.

Still, it's nice to have one again.

oh and Good Morning T4T-Brett-Sassy and all the People that hang out here:kiss::rose:

Good Morning Ling and BrettJ and Coacheric

And a Wednesday hello to all who visit. My fam are still in town so my Lit time has been limited. They fly home tomorrow. I miss them already. Ling, thank you for the goodies ! I like raisins too. Straight from the box or in cereal. Or fresh baked breads !

My question of the day...Is it OK to ask someone out on a first date via text ? I'm a bit old school I guess. I think this should be face to face or at least over the phone.

Oh and I meant to ask. What are gas prices where everyone is ? Our Sam's Club was$1.65 yesterday. Sweet👍

I"m not a fan of dried apricots. I like dried cherries the best of any dried fruit. With raisins, I like the regular raisins much more than the golden raisins.

I think it is bad manners to ask someone on a date via text. I think it should be face-to-face, although that could be so daunting that over the phone can be OK.

The lowest gas price here is $1.66, plus the .03 off with my Kroger card. Most places are a little more expensive.

NRSE, how was Legoland?

In agreeance with SCCouple. If they have your number to text they can call. Face to face could be nervous to some. Especially if you don't know for sure they will accept. So maybe a simple text to say hey may I call I need to ask you something? Course at my age he can send smoke Signals if he wants to!! LOL

I am old school too ... but that's no surprise  ... I think text should only be for ordinary dealings, which first date isn't!

Gas was at $1 a litre yesterday, lowest it had been in some time.

Face to face for a date, unless you've never met and ONLY talked via text or the net.

Heading out soon, I here it's a nice day out.

Nice here for sure. Hello Vibes ! SCCouple the news said the Carolina leaves will peak late October to mid Nov

This time last year, deisel was over $4/gallon at a place near work.
This morning, it was $2.87.

And this is in a state where everything is taxed more than most other states.

Gas was $2.05 last week, back home. I'm in California now an it is over $3, sometimes $2.85

Premium is $2.87ish around here, for credit/debit, which is a dollar less than last year.

Wife remarked that the prices at one of the farmer's markets was much lower than the others we visited. I told her, it was because the first one doesn't wash their produce: they're literally from the field to the market across the street LOL

I also didn't have the heart to tell her that we also didn't pay for the corn and paid half-price for the potatoes. Being related to the cashier helps LOL

Home and in for the day. Man, I'm beat - I was resting earlier and was woken up by a friend wondering if I wanted to join him for lunch. I did so, but I need more sleep. Back to bed shortly, I should think.

I'm home after a long afternoon. T4T have you seen\heard the comments made on The View regarding the beauty pageant Nurse who did a monologue ? I listened to it to learn what the hooplah was about. A couple of comments defiantly rubbed me raw.

I stopped watching the View a few years ago NRSE because it went from being a show with intelligent women with differing points of view to an idiotic bitchfest. Sometimes I just want to yell at the screen "Shut the f*ck up!" And migod, did Whoopi Goldberg eat a whale? She doesn't need a MuMu - she needs a MooMooMoo because she has become such a cow.

I don't watch it either for those reasons. I went to YouTube and watched the clip. Some very callous comments made regarding the Nursing profession.

I love what I do. I love knowing I help others. Much satisfaction in that.
