Breath Taker

Elliot:

Turning his head to the side as Melinda's hand cracked across his muscled jaw, Elliot paused, a wicked grin drawing his lips back. "Mother, you just called yourself a bitch." Elliot said dryly as he stood slowly, touching his cheek with the back of his hand. "Of course, mama, I will go. But I will be back when you are thinking a little more rationally." Elliot said with an eerie calm to his voice, and his manner. "Oh, and while you were asleep, I took the liberty to turn your bedroom lock out... You won't be leaving." Elliot pointed out as he slipped out the door, adding. "Just so you're not surprised when you try to escape." Then the door latched, followed by the finality of a click, engaging the doors lock from the outside.

Rushing to the door just as it clicked shut I yanked on it and screamed in frustration that he would lock me in. I went to the window immediately and looked out it over looked the side street of the building I was in but it wouldn't budge and I couldn't seem to get people to look up and there was a solid brick wall across the way no way for someone to see me there.

I screamed again and I heard him laugh on the other side of the door. He had nailed the windows shut as well! I pulled and tugged and closed my eyes. Even if I did open the window I didn't know what I would do. It was a straight drop for 3 stories and only a sidewalk below. I moved to the bed in a fit and rummaged through my things. He had taken my cell phone as well and anything else that might help. I started to cry softly as I covered my face. God help me.

Elliot:

For an hour and a half, Elliot worked in the kitchen, preparing a special dinner for his mother. A baked chicken rubbed with special herbs that would taste normal to the palat but effect a body to a subtle arousal, to a suggestive state. He pulled a bottle from the wine rack as well and as he passed the kitchen counter, he noticed the old tomb again. Taking it up as he placed a parcely sprig on the plate he had prepared for Melinda, he walked toward the bedroom he held her captive in, whistling as he did.

Standing at the door, he knocked. "Mama, I've made you dinner, and I have a book for you to read. I'm coming in." He called to her through the door.

No answer met his called out words. Silence filled the void after he spoke. Melinda lay on the bed asleep having cried herself into it. Her body lay on the bed in a curled up ball and her hands under her cheeks as she lay with her back to the door and her head on the pillow of the bed. One leg had slipped down to the floor and she was breathing softly and slowly as she continued to lay there.

The knock barely registered in her subconcious state. no sound comes past her lips as Elliot arrives into the room.

Elliot:

"So, mama, was your nap refreshing? Here, I've made you super, baked chicken. Try some. Oh, and I brought you some wine and a book to read. Its very informative. Its all about my kind..." He sat the plate of food on the night stand beside the bed and the book at her side, opening it to the page about Incubus.

Looking around groggily she scrambles off the bed and moves over to a chair beside the window and holds her bible to her chest, the one he have had since he was a child. "I have a book to read, Elliot." Settling into the chair she curls her legs up against her and holds the book to her chest like a shield as she looks out the window now. "Go away I am not hungry." She drops her head a bit down onto the book and closes her eyes as she sinks back into her thoughts and tries to forget he is even there.

Her thoughts were randomized, Must not eat the food of hell. Fidgeting her stomach tells the truth by growling unfeminine like. "I will not eat." She was emphatic now and curled up a bit tighter into her little ball of protection. "you can't keep me here Elliot. I won't stay locked up like some animal."

Arron:

::In the appartment across the street from Elliot's, Arron came home that night and hopped online to document what he had witnessed that evening in the resturant. After corrosponding with a few collegues, Arron turned his computer off and got ready for bed. Unbeknownst to him, Elliot was assulting his mother just across the street.

Its was almost 9 am the morning, and Arron was now outside Elliots bookstore, his Black sedan idoled quietly as he waited for the store to open. He hadn't really wanted a new book, but his demonology library was becoming impressive, and it was his chance to speak with Elliot.::

Elliot:

"Alright mama, I'll leave the food and the book here for you, just the same. I have to go open the book store now." Elliot said, turning to look at her where she sat. He set out a plastic cup, next to the picnic plate full of food for her and poured wine into it, intending to take the bottle back out with him. "I will be back in an hour to check on you, mama. Take your time, you have lots to think about, to be sure."

Leaving the room, he locked it again and returned the bottle of wine to the kitchen, then slipped downstairs and into the back of his shop. Ten minutes later he was open for buisness.

I didn't look at him when he left. I clutched my bible to my chest and moved a bit more into the chair and curled up more closing my eyes. I could smell the food and it was so tantalizing, but I would not eat it. I wanted to be out of here I wanted to get rid of this child inside of me. I looked at the window again and watched the clouds go by over head. As the food got colder the smell slowly dissipated and I was no longer so tempted and I fell asleep again in the chair my head resting on my arms and knees as I began to dream the face of Elliot's father haunted me once more as did Elliot's face like they were one and the same tormenting me even while I tried to rest.

After awhile I awoke and went to the window and tried to get people's attention again, but no one ever looks up still. I sobbed softly and leaned against the window and then rolled to the side and slowly slid down the wall and drew my legs up against my chest and shook my head,"Oh lord why have you forsaken me? I have followed all of your commandments, I attended your houses and took in the weak and fed the hungry. Oh lord please show me what I have done wrong so that I may be released of this damned child within and without. Tell me Oh lord please and thy will shall be my own." I prayed in earnest for something to help me.

::Seeing the store lights come on, Arron turned his car off and stepped out, closing the door behind him. Adjusting his jacket, and lowering his cane, he walked upto the store door offered a small knock, then walked within::

Hello again, how are you today? Im looking to see if any more Demonology books came in for me today?

Elliot:

"No sir, I'm afraid we won't be getting any occult books in for at least a week." Elliot stated as he looked up from the book shelf he was crouching at. "Just the same old books we've had." Elliot rose to his feet and came level with Aaron's eyes. "What exactly were you looking for though? I will see if I can pull any strings for you."

Arron:

You have me in your computer there yes?...Any book that I don't already have on the subject would be welcomed..

::Arron walked over to the computer as Elliot type::

Arron Ryan, is the name.....

::Watches again as Elliot clicks away at the keys, hiseyes focusing on him and the nice red handprint on his face. A woman's hands for sure::

Fight with a lady friend?

Still sitting on the floor after another long period of time, Melinda finally arose to her feet and headed to the bed. Lifting up the book her son had left on the bed she looked at the picture of what her son was supposed to be like. She shivered and picked up the book. The book was an old one on demonology I could feel the leather along the binding and along the outer shell and I swear it felt warmer then it should be. Like all the demons in hell were too hot for the book to talk about.

I read the passages and reread them and an idea formed in my head. Desire, the incubus fed on desire. All I had to do was not desire anything. Not feel an intense need for things. HE couldn't feed if I didn't have desire for anything. Little did I know it was going to be more difficult then I wanted it to be. But the thoughts and ideas gave me hope that I would indeed be able to do this. I flipped through other pages and the graphic detail of each drawing and the words leaped out at me and I was soon immersed in the book at the horrific idea that these men or women had written about the demons they encountered. Amazing how many demons there were in the world and people everyday walk beside them and make love to them and talk to them of about all their needs. These demons were living it up and all the world would never believe in them.

Elliot:

"Ah, oh yes, of course, just let me call your name up." Elliot didn't look up but he felt the man staring at him and it really started to irritate him. He took a flickering look up at the man as he stared while he typed, but it did not break the mans stare at all.

"What? Oh... Yes, I guess you could say I got a little fresh." Elliot was a little at a loss for what to say when Aaron asked him about the slap. "Well, here you go, we DO have a book not credited to your collection. 'The Maelifactorous Maelifactorum, a man sold it to me just a couple weeks ago, its in amasing condition, leather bound... Original script, never been restored, its never needed it. What do you say? Interested? It will COST you, but I have it right upstairs." Elliot said with a smile.

Arron:

Of course I'll take it, whatever the price. This subject seems to have caught my fancy..I am mesmerized by it it seems...Also seems to be helping me drain my bank account..

::A slight chuckle at the small joke, but none-the-less he did indeed wish to have the book::

Elliot:

With a nod, Elliot thought for a moment. The book was easilly worth a thousand, all told, but to him, it was priceless. "I'll go get it and then we can discuss a price." Elliot left Aaron at the counter and returned to his appartment, to the room he kept his mother locked in, and knocked. "Mother, are you awake?" He asked as he disengaged the lock and slipped inside.

A book sails through the air towards the door barely missing Elliot's head as it peeks into the room. THe book he came to retrieve. Anger flashed in my eyes as I look him over,"Where the hell else would I be you arrogant bastard. RELEASE me this instant." Moving across the room she stands toe to toe with him and regard him through the slits of her eyes," If you dont' let me go I will get out and you won't like the way I do."

Elliot:

Flinching away from the thrown book, Elliot looked sharply up at Melinda. When she came up to him, he grabbed her just below her shoulders and forced her back to arms length. "You are in NO position to demand a DAMNED thing from me, mother! Do you understand? And your threats fall on deaf ears. If however, you want to survive this, you will ONLY find survival through ME. Do you understand me? DO YOU?!" Elliot barked at her sharply, shaking her roughly. For one intence moment, he stared into her eyes, and she could see everything demonic within his soul flash with anger at her. Then, he pushed her back, making her drop back upon the bed in a seated position.

He glared at her as she could only stare back, in a mixture of fear and hate, then he began to smile. "Don't you understand? You're feeding me, right now, yes, hate me, call me damned, curse me to hell, mama, you only make me stronger." He collected the book and tucked it under his arm. "I could devour you right now, mama... But... I won't... I need your child..."

When he grabbed her, her eyes closed for a split second and she thought this is it, yes please let it be quick. But he didn't he was screaming at her and shaking her and finally set her down on the bed as she stared up into the most demonic eyes she had ever seen. The child was all he wanted.

"The child won't survive Elliot. The child won't survive at all." HE stood there staring at me and his anger wasn't abating as he watched me feeding off my emotions like a sieve. A sudden calm came over me and I knew what I had to do. I wouldn't say anything now....it would come in time.

Elliot:

Standing before her for several minutes, Elliot felt the strengths of her emotions bleeding away. His expression fell back to one of unfeeling calm. He left her be then, locking her in again. Standing on the opposite side of the door, he touched the heavy oak. "Later tonight, mother..." He said with a leering smirk.

Back downstairs he went and, as he sat the tome onto the table between him and Aaron, he stepped back to allow Aaron to peruse the tome.

Arron:

::As He waited Arron too to brousing the store to look and see if there were anything else he might want to buy, his ears picking up some yelling above him, but unable to make out any words, he passed it off as Elliot arguing with the girl he got alittle too fresh with. Probably the girl from the resturante he though.

Soon Elliot was back and Arron smiled as he did. The smile was then replaced by a even bigger smile one of more shock and envy.::

"Where did you get such a marvelous copy of this book? I have been searching for quite some time for this book. There is said to only be five in existance. It is settled then I am not leaving until I have this book. What are you asking for it?

Elliot:

"Thirty thousand." Elliot stated flatly, watching Aaron closely, waiting for the man to flinch at the extraordinarilly high price tag.

If Melinda had heard her son she more then likely would have been more scared then she already was. Looking around the room she started going through everything as she tried to look for a way out of the room. A chair flew against the door more then likely making a ton of noise with the scrapes and scratches she was making.

Finally her energy spent she slumped against the far wall all the furnoture piled against the door. If he was going to keep her locked in, she was going to barracade him out. Dropping her head onto her knees she softly sobs. "Oh lord why hast thou forsaken me?"

Elliot:

Looking up, toward the noise comming down from above, Elliot's smirk fell into a grimace. "I'll make you pay for this mother, I'll sup on your soul tonight." Elliot thought to himself, the chilling delight of that thought heating his cold, demonic heart with depravity.

A moment later, he focused back upon Aaron again, pretending nothing out of the ordinary was going on. "I can see you're rather speechless, do you need some time sir?" Elliot asked, returning a smile to his face.

The bell over the door rings announcing the entrance of a patron. Torie calls out as she enters,"Elliot?! Are you there?" She is dressed in a pair of short shorts and a tank top that clings to her body and breasts the thin strap revealing no bra. Her hair is up in a ponytail and she is wearing her knee pads and elbows gears as she rolls through the store. She begins to near closer and you can tell she is roller blading through the store.

As much as you have cared for her, you have ALWAYS hated when she RB'd in the store. It wasn't dignified and she just seemed to not care. But you had over looked it in the past and it is now irritating you. She pauses near the end of the counter as she notes Arron and you talking and she moves toward the stairs apparently not getting a good enough look at you to notice the slap mark,"Oh I didn't realize you were busy. I will just go up and talk to your mother until you are free." She begins to climb the stairs slowly without waiting for a response.
