One has a history of making statements of overt violence against posters and groups that he does not like. The other responded to these statements of violence by using racist language.

In terms of the "odious trolling tactics" you reference, explicitly promoting hateful violence is significantly more odious than stooping to racist language. It's the next step up on the ladder of violence.

Both posters were odious in their back-and-forth with each other, and one took it up to the step of advocating violence.
