I'm surprised there has been no mention of this yet, but I've not checked all the threads since last night.

Two bombs did not go off in London, thank goodness.

Slightly different in Glasgow. The bombers stayed with the vehicle and attempted a suicide bombing.
One of them tried to evade four policemen and was rugby tackled to the ground by a Scotsman. Imagine the scene- car burning furiously, car filled with propane gas cylinders and petrol, burning man with suicide vest throwing punches at the police. So what does a passing Glaswegian do? Flying rugby tackle.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the car, a man with a petrol bomb exits the car and throws a punch at another security man. Four Scotsmen look at each other, and then rush at him and the exploding car, wrestling him to the ground.

They were interviewed today on the BBC.

It seemed the natural thing to do.

What would you do?

Good on all of them. I would have done the same thing, except with an additional maiming for good measure. I hear a lot of crap talked about the Brits here in the states, but I've always said that they're some of our strongest allies, and if I couldn't have a fellow American at my back in a fight, I'd pick a Brit in a heartbeat.

A Scotsman at my back...hmmmm

!

Why would anyone be mad enough to be a terrorist in Glasgow. It is every Scots inalienable right to pick a fight with anyone he chooses . The Glaswegians even have two massive institutions devoted to training their men for battle. They're called Celtic and Rangers and have educated millions of Scots in hand to hand fighting and especially pre-emptive retaliation.
