body paint

So I've decided to be Smurfette for Halloween. I know this seems early, but I like to look early so I'm not stuck in a last minute crunch.
Anyway, I've started searching around for some body paint options, but I thought maybe someone might have a few suggestions. I need something that will stay on all night without getting blue all over the place. I'm also looking forward to shedding the costume after the night's over.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

My first thought was liquid latex, but I'm not sure if that's an option for you or not. If it is, I'd get and try some now so you can see if it'll produce the effect you want and work with your skin.

Have you looked at what's available locally and online? I'd talk to some special effects shops to see what they recommend.

My first thought was to see if you can't find a theatre, special effects or costume store nearby and investigate options there. Remember that most body paint is oil based and it sticks to the skin like no tomorrow. Some colours (like orange) stains the skin. Also, see if there isn't a circus school nearby and ask them if they have body paint and what they use. Most theatres and circuses are absolutely thrilled to share tips with interested people, the odder the costume the better.

You might want to explore liquid latex, as SweetErika suggested. This site is loads of fun and you can order latex sample sleeves to test drive their product. A 16oz of blue body paint at the same site runs about 12$, which is a great price. There's a photo of a woman dressed as a Smurfette, so it might be worth taking a look.

For other alternatives, you might want to check out Cinema Secrets or Special Effects Supple. Someone asked the very same question somewhere else, and here's and here's the reply.

I don't really have any better suggestions, but this reminded me of soemthing I saw online once. It was I think a dutch porn where everyone was painted blue (their entire body) and dressed like smurfs. But the make-up they used came off when an area got wet, which made it even stranger. anyway, good luck with your costume.

Someone posted a link to at one time on the GB. It was quite strange! Especially the way the paint rubbed off in certain spots! It just goes to show that there is porn for every kink...even Smurf porn!

I was definitely thinking along the lines of latex, but I wasn't sure.

I'm going to try a few different types out now and through the summer to make it look as good as possible!
I'll definitely keep up with the updates, and of course there will be pictures after Halloween!

The part about it sticking to your skin is no joke. There is a thing called grease paint and it can be found at most costume stores. Before you apply it to your skin you should first put on a layer of vaseline or cold cream. If you put this stuff directly on your skin, plan to do LOTS of scrubbing to remove it

That's part of what I'm afraid of! Strippers don't exactly make a lot of money when they're blue all over!

actually I'll bet someone stripping as smurfette could make pretty good money, a few times at least.
