So I've been asked out on a blind date. My dating history has been pretty bad. I'm trying not to let the past affect/effect (which one is right?) my future but it's hard. To reap rewards means to risk. I'm standing at the end of my proverbial diving platform and I just can't see to jump off. I've talked to him for about 4 hours total on the phone now and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. I laugh at his jokes, he laughs at mine. We haven't run out of things to talk about yet and the subjects have been all over the spectrum. I haven't felt any red warning flags go up.

Somebody push me off the diving platform...

Jump.

If you don't like the water, get out - but you won't know until you're in there.

Give it a fair shot of being wonderful.

Yes! Give it a shot!

He's auditioned for 4 hours, and passed - he's earned the chance to enjoy the beauty that is you in person, don't you think? And if he fails the in person try-out, hop outta the pool. Go for it, Girlie!

Great News Pb

And the problem is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

So far, you two get along well. Now it's time to take the next step. Go for it. And good luck.

So when are you going out?

When's the big date? To be nervous is o.k., just don't talk yourself out of it. Relax and have a good time. Any more news to share?

Enjoy!

Have a great time, Pacific!

A word of advice: Go somewhere close to home. If you don't like him or are uncomfortable, you don't want a long, silent drive home! That's the worst!

Otherwise, dress in what you feel good in. Don't forget to wear that bright, beautiful smile that I imagine you to have. And,
