Firstly, please let me apologise if this post is in the wrong place. I used to lurk on the boards a lot and now I've come back for some much needed advise. Please forgive the graphic details and certainly don't read on if you are likely to find blood etc offensive.

Last night, during sex with my lover, I started bleeding quite heavily. It was mostly clear and very red and although it stopped fairly quickly, it was the volume the concerned me at the time. He's very well endowed and he said this has happened with a couple of women before. We have only had sex a couple of times and the positions last night allowed for deeper penetration. I did feel a sharp jolt of pain during one of his thrusts but the pain didn't last so I didn't stop him straight away (and I am no good with pain so if it was bad, I would have reacted).

There is a little bleeding today, I feel very sore and there is a little stinging when I pee. I am planning to make an appointment with a doctor on Monday but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there is anything you can share to make me a little less worried. I have been going out of my mind since it happened.

Don't Panic

Firstly - you have nothing to apologise for!
I'm sure you have nothing to worry about and that it's just a small tear in your vagina. As you said, your partner is well endowed and you were in positions which allowed deeper penetration.
I've bled quite often during sex...the joys of being small and having sensitive skin! My doctor has given me a cortisone cream which I now use twice daily. I've been using it for about 3 months and have noticed a small improvement.
I also suggest trying different lube(s). And don't be shy about about the amount you use - the more the merrier!!
And if it makes you feel any better...I'm not very experienced so am often still sore a day or two after having sex...so you're not alone.

PS. Yes, still a good idea to see your doctor.

I have bled during sex too, but mine was from my partner hitting my cervix and bruising it. I truly hope that is not the case with you though because it took about a month for mine to heal. :(

That is the part that I am going to pick up on, mainly because the first few times I had sex, I bled quite a bit, and it was always very uncomfortable for days after. It was partially due to my inexperience and partially due to the fact that my partner at the time was well endowed. After a few months it stopped happening.

If you are worried though, it is always best to go see your Doctor. But you are not alone on the bleeding during sex issue ((hugs))

Yes, this happened to me numerous times. You're a smart chicka for planning to call the doc on Monday. It's definitely not normal.

Your cervix could be low and he's hitting it during intercourse, or you could have polyps, fibroid tumors, cervical dysplasia, an infection, or an STD.

Good luck to you and take care of yourself. :rose:

Thank you very much for your kind replies. I feel a little better knowing this has happened to others so thank you for sharing your experiences.

I know this sounds terrible but I'm too scared to have a proper look. I tried yesterday and I think I saw a tear which nearly made me faint but at least I am thinking (hoping) that the blood was due to that and nothing more sinister.

It's still very sore today and following advice from the chemist, I'm washing the area regularly and putting a gentle anticeptic cream on until I get to the doctor's tomorrow.

I am very grateful for all your advice and support :rose:
