I'm a nice guy. Why can't I catch a break for once? Why does everything happen with the dragging, and the clawing, only to reach near the top, to happiness, then to find out the last 3 rungs on the ladder are greased. And it's a long fall to the bottom.

put it at the bottom of the ladder....makes the fall much easier to take...or at least not hurt as much

I feel your pain. The same thing happens to me all the time. It's almost as if the Universe will not let me succeed at life.

I think we all have been there.

Sometimes we have to take a look inward to change a pattern. If you keep hitting your head on the same wall over and over again and it hurts I think it is time to look for a pillow or to realize to stop banging.

OK lousy analogy but try a different approach by remaining true to yourself.

I know I have had difficulty meeting nice guys in the past also. I have been told I am the type of woman to marry but yet I remain single. Hmmm perhaps it is that commitment phobia I have. Who knows but we choose our own path. Good Luck again and realize you are not alone.
