Why is it that most people feel that it is OK for women to like other women, but when it is two men it is disgusting? I am a bisexual woman and I get a lot of attention from men because of that. However, my boyfriends has recently discovered a liking of men (and it turns me on), but other people find it disgusting. I just find this double standard interesting. Are there any other women who find two men going at it appealing- or am i just odd? And if you are a bisexual male what do you think of this double standard?

You'll find that the Lit atmosphere is quite welcoming to the man/man side of things. Many women completely dig the guy/guy play that goes on.

As to the rest of the world? I dare not speak for anyone not in my personal experience. From my point of view, guy/guy relations are more bashed on because they're less appealing to straight guys. The straight guy response I've seen to guy/guy funtime is similar to watching a guy kicked in the balls, I find. See: distorted expression, possible pained noise, some form of curling up or doubling over. Whereas, two girls kissing is, amongst my sampling, considered incredibly sexy.

Actually i maintain that the concept of two woman seems more acceptable to society, then that of two males.

I have no answer why appart from possibly conditioning by the male dominated porn industry (by that, i mean X videos/pictures).

Personally, i have no problem with the idea of two males together... hell i've been there, done that and gotten the t-shirt to prove it.

Some people can just be very narrow minded at times.

Thanks for everyones replies. I am happy to know that most everyone here is excepting and open minded (i am still very much a newbie and I am just learning how things work around here ). Is there anyone that has advice for what my boyfriend is going through? He gets harassed by all of his friends and i really have no idea how to comfort him since i am apparently admired for my sexuality instead of harassed for it.

I am very attracted to the thought of two men together. I think many women (and people) are and just won't admit it. I find the double standard stupid. I dated a bisexual man and it was a fantastic relationship. I am one of those people who believes everyone is born bisexual and then society either conditions you or you slide one way or the other.
