This post results from me trying to figure out who did a certain mo-town song.

A while back on A&E or VH1 I watched a bio on Angie Dickinson (what an amazing life) and I thought I would ask all of you.

What was the last biography you read or watched?

What famous/semi-famous people's biographies would you be interested in seeing or reading?

The last biography I read was on the life of Oscar Wilde. Sad, but very interesting!

I would be interested in:

Mikhail Gorbachev (video, just don't think I could do a book)
Burt Bacharach
Ezra Pound? LOL (OK, that's a joke)

Oh yes, and all of you lit people. I know you are each illustrious and famous in your own way.

The last VH1 "Behind the Music" I watched was probably one about Sinead O'Connor. I was never really a big fan of hers but it was interesting to learn about her life and the backlash she faced after the whole SNL incident. Oh and there was that Madonna one...through the years or something like that. Interesting how often she reinvents herself.

I've really gotten out of watching A&E biographies because it seems like they're constantly showing the same ones. As for biographies I'd like to see:

Randy Shilts
Clive Barker
Boris

I used to watch A&E biographies nightly. The last I saw was Marilyn Monroe, again.

I have always wanted more and more on

Judy Garland
Eleanor Roosevelt

I saw a bio on Stephen King. It was an incredible story and he was very interesting. Someone who doesn't take his craft for granted.

I don't watch much television.
But I am reading John Adams by David McCullough
Fascinating stuff and one could only hope to have half the relationship he and Abigal had...

Since I share one tv with cable with 2 guys now i rarely get to watch Biography any more... but i would love to see one on:

Bette Davis
Sean Connery (of course)

and Monroe and I can watch the Marilyn Monroe one into the dirt.. so i'm always up for watching that one again.

Sean Connery: I would watch his bio, but would rather do him! Isn't he the sexiest old guy in entertainment these days?

:D

I saw one on Sean Connery. Excellent. He's been through a lot of shit. It was on A&E, I think.

I love Biography on A & E, but I wish they would do some new ones. I would love to see bios on the directors and stars from the silent movie era. The History Channel & TLC do shows that aren't exactly biographies, but that are about the monarchies of Europe and things like that. I really think that truth is stranger than fiction. I like Behind the Music on VH1 and also Where are They Now? Sometimes watch the E! True Hollywood Story, but they need to do some new ones, as well. Would love to see one of JRR Tolkein, Marian Zimmer Bradley, two of my favorite authors.
