Biker's Run..........................

Well, my friend I would like to keep this thread close. Like it is are extended family. It shouldn't matter what iron we ride. I will keep events posted in this area to bring some of us together. I hope everyone follows my lead. It's about friendships and meeting interesting people.

Oh Jaded, I only wish it was that sort of fun ! Tell you what, I'll snuggle up on your lap and you can make me feel better, how's that ? It was, however, a great weekend for riding.

I decided to take advantage of some comp time owed to me today, as beautiful sunny day up here and the rest of the weekend looks to be pretty wet and rainy. Took a short ride this morning and saw the sun rise along the river (getting pretty darn chilly up here, by the way) And then put a new mirror on my bike. Don't ask - suffice to say it was awful and embarassing and I can't say that I wasn't warned that I would eventually drop my first bike !

As for the rest of the weekend; I'll be attending the Peace Officer Memorial on "The Hill" and some of the activities that go with it. Have a good one and ride safe !

Good afternoon, biner... :)

Sorry to hear about your experience...:( Why don't you cuddle up in Jaded's laps and let me comfort you... ;)

Truth in the matter is that I did the same think the first week I had my Gold Wing on the road. Fortunately for me I have engine / leg guards on my full dresser and I was at a complete stop. Plus the fact I more or less slowly lowered it rather a hard drop. It didn't even scratch the chrome on the guards. Dressers are not the easiest vehicle to up right at 700 + pounds. Very fortunate for me a good friend happened to be passing by at the moment and stopped to give me a hand. Of course I had to hear the "Ya know your may wanna start with some training wheels on this thing" comment. But this friend is in the tree removal business and was hit by lighting twice. So the comment about "being to dummy to come out of the rain" flew back... :D

Here in the little town of Woodbury, CT I woke up to 36 degrees on the olé thermometer. It is still very windy here. My heated California king size water bed felt so very very good this morning... :D I was snuggled up in the comforter. The trees are changing quickly here. I estimate that in the next three weeks we will be at the height of are foliage season. Some people have already started to use their fireplaces. Love the smell of a fire in a fireplace... :)

See that by the smile on your face and by the way your wiggling around in my lap I can tell your feeling better already or feeling somthin... :nana:

Good morning, everyone..... :)

It's a very dreary overcast morning here in Woodbury, CT. It rained last night and it looks like it still wants to rain...:( I don't know it seems when ever I get some time off it rains this year.

Welcome to are little biker family ender3. Riding can be addictive. Have fun and enjoy your stay. If there is a event or ride in your area post it here. Other's in your area may also want to join in.

Want to wish all a super great day. "Rider's up and rider safe... :D "

Well, at last a Thread for the bikers!

Yes, I am a biker and have been so for 30+ years....started riding in the UK many moons ago and now I live in the USA for 5 years and been riding for those 5 years too! I have a custom softail and next year will be buying a StreetGlide for the touring...the Custom makes me ache after a 1300 mile trip in 2 days...and then back again after a party!

I've been to Sturgis for the last 4 years and had fun every time..and will continue to have fun there too...I just love the women that decide it's time to show off their wares!!

Hi, Ukin.

Welcome to Biker's run. This is a biker's thread operated by bikers. This thread belongs to all of us. Please enjoy your stay and have lots of fun. We are a friendly bunch. As a member you are a apart of are family.

One of the gold I have set is to have riders post event that are happening in your area. Hopefully to bring us all a little closer.

I think next summer I will probably through a couple of BBQ together for the folk in this area. I have always found it fun to meet other Lit members in the area.

Have a super great week end. Hopefully it will stop raining here some day...:(

Hi Jaded:

Thanks for the welcome and I'll be more than willing to publish any happenings in this area..and me and the OL would be even more than happier to meet others from Lit...even more so if they are into "fun"!

Good morning, brothers and sisters... :)

Yuck it's still another dreary overcast morning in the little quit town of Woodbury, CT. We have predictions of heavy rain and thunder showers this afternoon. I have been rained in all week end... :(

All though it isn't that cold today it is a little raw. I think I am going to throw together a quick chilly to take the dampness out of these bones. Not cold enough to put together my biker chilly. It's a little to hot and spicy for this time of the season that more of a dead of the winter chilly. I have been known to finish a bowl of my biker chilly then shovel the side walk in a blizzard wearing only my boots, jeans, and teeshirt... I don't recommend it for those with heart problems...

Ukin, good luck on finding playmates here on Lit. However be careful here on the biker thread or the OL may wind up pulling a train. Cream pie anyone... ;)

Well just finished the second cup of freshly ground Dunkin Donut's coffee. Time to get showered and go in... :) Want to wish everyone a super great day... :D

wet Sunday...

...still wet/dreary here..I have emptied over 2 inches of rain outta the rain guage, but not as bad as many west of me received the last day or so.
...Like you mentioned, its back to the ol' grind tomorrow, an hopefully it'll clear up, and I'll get my hay up..
...Bought the new Bob Seger cd, and haven't been able to get out/ride/and listen to it...(did play it in the ol' womans ride...) ;)
...ride safe......

LOL....one of her fantasies actually!

Good morning/afternoon one and all..another dreary and windy day down here in SE Kansas...bike cleaning day and a little ride if it clears up in time.

Well, it was a nice peaceful day down here in the South East part of Kansas...didn't get out for the ride, watched the golf instead lol

'Evening All !

Doesn't sound like anyone got to go out and play this weekend :( So, I settled for apple picking and made apple pie instead. Don't you love fall ?

Jaded - Thanks, you know exactly how to make a girl feel better when she needs some comforting ! ;) Amazing how the right things pop up in the right circumstances.
My crash was a bit more action packed than yours, unfortunately, but at least the only damage was to my bike and not me. The girlfriend I was riding with stopped quick to help me pick myself and the bike back up, and some by-standers came over too. I can get it upright by myself if I have to, but it's tricky (400lb bike vs 130lb me)
I've found that ever biker I've met has at least one "oops" story - highside's was even more action packed than mine !

Have a good week, guys - stay safe !

Hi all . I have a Goldwing interstate and have riden all over the country . I just love to ride I live in the North East were the summers are short . But still ride about 12000 mile a year . Anyway just wanted to say hi .

Good morning, girls and guys... :)

Well the week end was filled with scattered showers all week end long...:( I was bored yesterday so I called a lady friend up and we went out to dinner. We went to a Asian restaurant in Danbury, CT called Union Buffet. It is extremely re seasonable and the food in incredible. Strongly recommended.

Great choice of recording artist Snake. Bike bike just has a am/fm radio in the side of the fairing. But I have a Bob Seiger tape and toss it on the stereo when I wanna rock the place... :D

Ukin best of wishes with your OL's fantasy on the cream pie. IF you two hang out on the thread long enough I am sure you'll be approached... ;)

Biner, cutie sorry to say but my story may have been a little more embrassing... I was at a full stop and my foot got stuck in the aftermarket heel/toe shifter. That shifter isn't there any more!

Bimori welcome to Biker's Run. Your are thread Gold Wing rider. Could it be were going to catch the Harley riders or not... Have fun and enjoy your stay.

I have to look at my control panel. I am not receiving when anyone posts to this thread.

Well it of to get ready for work. Want to wish all my friends a super great Monday.

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

It's a beautiful morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT. Currently the temperature is 53 degrees. Today is one of those days I find it difficult to go to work. Seeing the weather guessers are predicting yet another rainy weekend for me...:(

A quick reminder about the bike show at Corey's tomorrow night here in Woodbury. For more information PM me.

This Sunday is Sunday Sunday bike show at the Connecticut Expo Center in Hartford. It is the biggest in the state... :D Planning to take my lady and wonder around.

Want to wish everyone a super great Tuesday. Talk with ya later... :D

My grand son is down in Texas and I don't get to seem him as much as I would like to see him. My grand daughter is only a couple of towns away. I get to see her all the time... :D
