Make guns less available? Better background checks? Make it harder to obtain weapons? Sure- but then you would bitch and moan about how "The Democrats are Taking Our Guns Away and Not Respecting My Second Amendment Rights." Or worse, that "This Shooting Was Staged By Democrats As A Ruse to Take Our Guns Away" (And on cue, link to some bogus "news" article claiming exactly this.)

Our nation was divided long before he took office and will be divided long after he leaves.

The shooting is not the NRA's fault but they are responsible for our Nation not getting any meaningful gun control legislation passed due to their lobbying. The Republican controlled legislature in Texas and the Texas Governor are to blame for this shooting as they constantly make it easier for anyone to purchase and carry a gun in public.
