Bethothed.....

Andrew's ship made great time. It caught good winds. After reaching the coast of the Americas, it took them only a couple more days to reach the that had been the destination of the ship he'd mapped out. They went fast and made it to the port.

When they reached the dock Andrew immediately took his babies who were now about three quarters of a year old. They were still so young. They needed their mother. He began asking people if they had seen Brinna. He gave a description and made sure to mention her eyes. That was the one thing that some people had desinitely noticed. Brinna had arrived there. That knowledge that she was safe stopped Andrew from crying at nights. Now it was just a matter of finding her.

He checked with the harbour master for the ship log of thw ship Brinna had been on. When he looked at it he was even happier. He was fairly sure that was her. He just needed to find her. That seemed to be more of a problem though. It seemed that Ross was a fairly common name in the rapidly growing colony. He soon returned to simply asking people if they had seen her.

Part of him knew she was there. He could feel her close. There was a part of him that felt more complete that he hadn't been for a year and a half. He searched day and night for her. He just had to find her. He rarely left his babies though. They were with him. One thing that surprised him though was that when he heard of people seeing Brinna, she didn't seem to be trying to find her way home, she seemed to be doing chores of some sort.

One day Andrew got a message that brightened his spirits even more. A couple of Rosses wanted him over to a ball and then a visit to see if they had found his wife. He would take the babies with him. Even if something was wrong and Brinna didn't remember him, a mother had to remember her babies.

He took the babies to get some nice looking clothes to wear. It would be simple things and not too nice since they would only get the clothes messy anyway. They were quite noisy little babies and messy, definitely messy. When they were in the store he saw a woman there. She looked very familiar, but he didn't get a look at her eyes and she was dressed very differently from how he'd ever seen Brinna dressed. She left before he could go talk to her and see for sure.

He got the babies clothes and then returned to the inn. When it was time for the ball he dressed the children nicely and got dressed fairly nicely. One thing he made sure to do though was to ensure he looked as he had when he'd arrived to court her. That may have meant he didn't look as nice as he could, but if Brinna had forgotten him because of injury, he wanted to do all he could to help her remember him.

So once he was ready he took the babies and went to the adress on the messasge he'd been given for the ball. He didn't enjoy it though. He spent the time meeting people and asking about Brinna. The only problem was that many of those wealthy people there didn't pay attention to servants and only a couple thought the description sounded familiar but couldn't say where they had seen the woman of that description.

The children had been taken upstairs to a nursery where other children were beging watched over by the house hold staff save for the few surving wine and champaign before the evening meal was surved.

Brigid was one of the women looking after them.. The older ones played with the toys in the nursery on the floor while Brinna took particular delight in coddling and rocking two blonde violet eyed children to sleep.. They touched a specal part i her heart, and stired memorys that she could only guess at, it was also wonderful to see someone with her eye coloring even if they were babe's, and wondered if perhaps she herself had been a mother..

Before she could get a firm grasp on the memorys sturring one of the older children tripped on a toy and fell, beginning to cry.. she looked down at the cradles she had been rocking to see the twins were asleep and so moved to inspect the injured childs knee.. it was a little scraped but nothing serious..

Brigid i'll take over for a bit if you want to get a drink from the kitchens.. Brigid smiled her thanks at the young maid only pausing to take one last look at the two beautiful twins sleeping before stepping out of the nursery.. and making her way down the back stairs to the kitchen..

In the Ball room however two gentalman stood not far from Andrew there voices at a wisper but he was close enough to hear there conversation.. Did you see the Ross's house keeper? Heard she's widowed.. wouldnt mind tossing her skirts.. think we might slip out of here and see if we can find her alone.. the first asked... the other looked at him and grinned. why not.. tho i doubt you'll find her alone last i saw her she was in the nursery looking after the little ones, if she is we wont mess with her.. another time perhaps, but if she isnt and we find her else where well then.. maybe..

The two men moved away from Andrew unaware that he had heard there conversation as they slipped from the ball room to find the servents stairs.. and to there utter delight Brigid returning from the kitchens on her way back to the nursery. Gentalmen the party is in the other direction i'll not have you messing with the maids in this house.. return to the Ball if you please.. Brigid said the darkness of the stair well making it impossable to see the color of her eyes..

ohh whats this you hear her.. getting rather above your self arnt you.. giving us orders.. The men moved to ether side of her one blocking her way up the stairs the other keeping her from running in any other direction for help.. True enough my friend.. she dose need to learn her place..

He looked at Brigid then.. Its not your maids were looking for my girl and i think we'll have a splended party just the three of us.... and if you wish to keep your position in this house hold and not find your self out on the streets you wont be saying a word to anyone.. Brinna/Brigid slapped him then but before she could run or call for aid his friend on the stairs behind her grabbed her covering her mouth to keep her from crying out..

The one she slapped smiled as he wiped the small cut on the corner of his mouth where her wedding band and cut his lip when she slapped him.. Ohh i am going to have alot of fun with you.. Theres an empty room at the top of the stairs... lets take her in there...

Brigid struggled but wasnt getting anywhere against these two men, the skirts of her dress tangling in her legs when ever she tryed to kick out at them.. Once in the room with her the one continued to hold her his hand over her mouth until his compangion mannaged to lock the door.. Ouch!... you bitch! Brigid was released for a moment before she was back handed.. she bloody bit me.. He said holding his hand up so his compangion could see..

The one with the cut lip begain moving twords her then and she backed up against the bed.. A regualar hell cat arnt you. He lifted her and slapped her himself as she started to fight him and then ripped her dress as tho it were a peice of paper.. she cryed out and hearing the sound of a door being broken in, both she and the men in the room with her turned to see who was there.. Brigid recognized him from the store.. the man who had bought the cloths for the children..

Brigid found herself being tossed threw the air to land on the bed, as the men turned to face the man in the door way.. Here now fellow this is none of your concern.. she's just a servent and well you can have her when were done if you want.. Brigid paled at that thought and rolled off the bed on the far side away from all three of them.. crouching down in the shadows to see what would happen and wait for an opening to escape to her own chamber.. so she could lock the door..

Andrew was in the ball and relaxing. He didn't dance with anyone, even though a couple women looked as if they wanted him to ask them. He was not there for dancing, he was there to find out if the house keeper was indeed his wife.

He happened to overhear two men near him talking about something quietly. He soon realised they intended to go find the house keeper and try to have their way with her. He decided to follow them quietly. He went unnoticed.

They wound up finding the woman they were looking for. He hid around a corner and took a peek. He couldn't see her face because they were blocking his view, but it looked like the woman he'd seen in the clothing store. She reminded him a lot of Brinna and his heart told him it was her just as he heard her speak. The moment he heard her sweet voice he knew it was her. He'd found her. He'd found his wife who he had not seen in over a year and a half.

He felt like jumping out right then, but he knew Brinna could handle herself. The men made advances toward her and blocked her from getting away. He grinned, he looekd forward to what would happen next. She slapped him, but did not move fast enough. The old Brinna would have taken them both down in an instant, she must have forgotten some of her fighing abilities when she lost her memories. The men dragged her upstairs. Andrew followed silently.

They got her into a room and they locked it before he could barge in. He listened carefully to what was happening inside. Brinna had bit one of them, but had been struck. He could hear the slap. He stepped back a few paces. The moment he heard another slap and a scream, he charged the door. It was not as sturdy as the ones in his castle. It took only one hit to bust it down. He went into the room.

Andrew saw Brinna with a torn dress and was angered. He also saw her beautiful eyes. He now had no doubt that she was his Brinna, his love, his wife. He longed to run and hold her, but he had two men to deal with first.

Brinna was tossed onto the bed and the men faced him. They were all unarmed. They must have felt as if they had the upper hand because of numbers. Andrew grinned. They would be quite surprised. They told him she was just a servant and he could have her when they were done. He glared fiercely at them. He preapred to fight as he spoke to them, anger and fire in his voice.

"That woman is not just a servant. Ye bastards are going ta pay fer what ye've done. That woman is nae a servant. That woman is is my wife! She is my wife and the mother of my children. Ye have dishonoured her and ye have dishonoured me. I hope ye are ready te die."

With his final word the men did not seem afraid. They were still confident in numbers. They attacked at the same time. Andrew moved quickly. He sent a fist right into the gut of one of them. He the ducked under a punch thrown by the other. A fist to the groin was enough to send him to the floor. Andrew stood up and then threw his elbow down into the back of the head of the other one. It sent the man to the ground, unconscious. He turned and threw his knee up into the forehead od the one who's groin he'd punched. That man fell backward also out cold. Andrew pulled their bodies together and contemplated what to do with them.

Brigid stood still as she watched the well she couldnt really call it a fight for it had been rather onesided a pummling was more like what she had witnessed with her two attackers now unconshious on the floor unable to harm her or anyone else.

She had heard the mans words about her being his wife and the mother of his children which confused her greatly but she wasnt about to try and argue with the man who had just saved her tho he had clearly she was sure mistaken her for someone else.

As the Man looked down at the two unconshious men debating on what to do with them Brigid debated on wether she could make it to the door or not with out drawing attention her way.. she hadnt made a sound that she knew of it was almost as tho he had read her thoughts for as she looked to the door judging the distance he looked at her..

Brigid swallowed her hands and body shaking not from fear she didnt think this man would harm her but simply because of what almost happend, and she blushed a bit embarassed over her tworn gown.. His gaze however kept her in place... and she didnt know wether if he were waiting for her to speak or what so.. waited..

Andrew looked down at the two men. He eventually decided to just leave them. He would report them to the proper person when he left. At that moment he had something mroe important to do. He was now quite sure that Brinna did not remember who he was. He turned to look at her. It was hard. He longed to run to her and hold her, but she didn't know him.

She seemed to be trying to figure out how quickly she could get to the door. She stood there nervously. She shook a little and blushed. He smiled at her. She jsut waited, so he decided to try something.

He stepped over the men on the ground and walked over to her. He looked deep into her eyes. There was no doubt she was Brinna. He just wished he could get her to remember. He neared her and made sure it did not seem as if he was going to attack her.

He spoke softly to her, lovingly. He said all he could to try and give ehr something to remember. "Brinna. Its me, Andrew. Don't you remember me? What about baby Andrew and Lilleth, your children. Don't you remember having them? I am sorry for not being there when they were born. I should have let my brother go to that village with a larger number of guard and gone right home to you. What about this, see this? Our rings match. What about this also, it is your clan symbol next to mine. Buccannon next to Mackay. Do you remember when we first met? With your brother by the river? You saved my life? What about your father? Don't you remember him? Please, Brinna, you have to remember something." As he spoke he showed her his ring and the pins on his kilt. By the time he finished he was holding her hands. Tears were in her eyes, he was nearly begging her to remember him. He didn't know what he would do if she didn't remember anything.

Brigid wasnt sure what to do as the man approched her.. showing her that there rings did indeed match and the pins he showed her seemed famillar.. she tensed as he took her hands in his.. My name is Brigid.. and i wish i were the woman your looking for, your children are beautiful and your a very handsome man, but... i dont know you..

Brinna/Brigid begain backing away from him then carfully moving around the unconshious men on the floor as she went.. looking back at the man standing there she said.. Thank you... for what you did... and i hope you find who your looking for.. she's a lucky woman whoever she is..

With that she held her tworn gown close to her and escaped out the door down the corrador to her own chamber where she could change... she cryed for a few moments before redressing in another gown to return to the nursery.. she didnt want to go back to work but she needed to do something to keep her mind off of what had nearly happend and from wishing she really was that handsome mans wife..

She relived the maid and sent her on to find her bed while she sat with all of the sleeping children.. keeping an eye on them until there parents came to claim them.. she found herself once more sitting between the twin's cradles drawn to them tho she didnt know why..

She watched them sleep a feeling of peace over comming her.. She wondered why the man thought her to be his wife, and the mother to these children.. was it the eye coloring she wondered.. that made him think so.. it was true that it was a rare thing and as far as she knew these babes were the only ones she had ever seen aside from herself that had it....

She looked down a bit closer at her wedding band.. it truly had matched his.... was it possable.... ohhh how she wished she could remember. One of the babes the boy Andrew begain to cry hungry.. she gathered up one of the bottles that had been provided for him and begain to feed him humming to him softly while she did.. You've a good apitite on you dont you lad... Lad??? where had that come from..

Brigid lay the boy back in his crib after burping him and making sure he had been changed.. some of the other parents came to take there children the twins she had been informed were staying the night along with there father as the Liard Buchanan had buisness with the Ross's

Tomorrow was the day for cleaning everyone else will have gone home and the Ross's will be spending the day recooperating from the party and trilled with what a success it had been for the ton of Boston.

Brinna fell asleep in the nursery near the cribs after the other children had left, wanting to be close to them should they need anything in the night not sure if she could hear them from down the hall.. There fathers room was one door down from the nursery..

Andrew stood there, frozen as Brinna tensed up in front of him. She told him her name was Brigid. She told him she wished she was who he was looking for. He just wanted to tell her, try to make her remember somehow. She had to remember. She just had to remember who she was. Yet, she insisted she didn't know him. He cursed the day he'd left even if it was jsut to get his things from home. He should have sent a messenger to go. He should have stayed by her side. None of this would have happened if he'd only stayed with her.

She backed away and his heart broke. She stepped around the men on the ground. She turned back to thank him for saving her and wishing him luck in finding his wife. He didn't need luck. He'd found her. She was right there, but not quite. As she walked out of the door he started to cry. Then he got angry. He found himself taking it out on the unconscious men. He was kicking them as they lay on the floor. He was sure that by the time he stopped they had a number of broken ribs.

He made his way to his room. He crawled into bed and simply lay there, crying. His wife was probably next door, with her children, but she didn't even know it. He'd longed to hold her and kiss her since the moment he left her arms the day he left. Now she was there, but he couldn't hold her, he couldn't kiss her, he probably couldn't even talk to her as he would if she was herself. He had to think of a way of making her remember, but here in Boston it would be nearly impossible. He couldn't show her anything that she would reconise. He only had the things he'd brought with him. That, himself, and the babies, and none of that seemed to be working.

He then thought of something. Someone had drawn a portrait of Andrew and Brinna on their wedding day. When he'd returned home he had an artist make a copy of it so he could always have her with him, no matter where he went. It was in his daily sporrin back in the inn. He would go get it tomorrow. In the mean time he decided to go check on his children. He was sure Brinna was taking good care of them, but at least they knew who he was.

He dried his eyes as well as he could. He then got up and decided that if Brinna was there, he would not try to talk with her much at all. He entered the room slowly and went to the cribs. He leaned over one and saw little Andrew there. He lifted the baby boy and held him. He then went and saw that Lilleth had woken up, but was not crying. He picked her up as well. He then sat in a chair and held them both close. Tears were in his eyes and he sang a Scottish lullabye to them softly.

Andrew... Brinna wispered in the dark the scottish lulliby she had heard stopping as she slowly sat up from her resting place in the nursery.. rubbing her eyes and looking around she saw the man sitting in a chair not far off with his children in his lap. She smiled at the wonderful sight they made.. I am sorry if i disturbed you... i was dreaming.. what song were you singing it.... sounded familiar..

Lillith begain to cry softly hungry and needing changed Brigid rose.. If you like i can change the baby for you so that you dont have to put the other one down.. she said shyly she still kept her distance and waited for his permission to move forward or stay where she was..

Andrew was sitting there and singing softly when he heard Brinna whisper softly. He smiled. It was his name. She still remembered him deep inside. He just needed to bring that back. she sat up and saw him there. She smiled and appoligised for distrubing him. He shook his head. He was glad when the song sounded familiar to her.

Then Brinna's little baby girl began to cry. Andrew looked down at her and smiled as Brinna offered to change her. He nodded and let her take Lillith. He then held Andrew close. He kissed the baby boy softly and swayed a little. Tears formed in his eyes again. He'd hoped that the sight of her childern would be enough for her to remember. He wondered how long it would take for her to remember. He hoped it would be soon. He needed to feel her in his arms and he needed to kiss her and tell her he loved her and needed her to tell him she loved him.

Brigid came forward with his permission and changed the little girl, once she was finnished she got a bottle for her and sat down not far from the man and the baby boy while she fed the little girl.. What are the childrens names..?

Andrew smiled at Brinna as she asked them their names. He was sure she would know if she just looked inside, but he didn't want to mention it in case she left or got mad at him for still assuming she was his wife.

"That beautiful little girl, who looks so much like her mother, is Lillith. This little one here is Andrew. He is named after me." He smield down and Andrew who had fallen asleep. He kissed him softly on the head. "They both have their mother's eyes." He'd decided to try and imply he meant her without actually saying it so he could deny it if she got mad.

She smiled hearing there names and thinking that they suted them.. My husbends name was Andrew... at least i think it was.. I lost him when our ship went down in a strom.. I dont remember much of anything before the Ross's found me.... They saw me floating on some wreckage and rescued me.. she said, not quite sure why she felt the need to talk with this man, or why she was so at ease with him.

She supposed it was due to the fact that he had saved her and from what she could tell of the way he looked at his childern that he was a good father and man. She heard his remark about the childrens eyes and waited wondering if he were going to start trying to convince her he was his wife again.. but when he didnt she stayed relaxed.. she burped little Lillith and rocked her to sleep.

Looking at the little one asleep in his arms and the one in hers she felt a sence of belonging as tho this was where she belonged...but the moment passed as another thought occured to her.. Do the children not have a nurse to look after them while you search for your wife? It couldnt be good for them to travle so... she covered her mouth with her hand knowing she over stepped herself..

She looked at Andrew and apologized.. I am sorry its not my place to speak so.., and the houre grows late i must get some sleep i have much work ahead of me in the morning.. i bid you good night ... She stood then and layed little Lillith in her cradle covering her with a blanket before making a retreat back to her own chamber..

Tho rest was fleeting as for the first time she begain dreaming.. Dreaming about a man with blonde hair and blue eyes ... but only bits and peaces she was searching for someone her husbend... Andrew... ... and of a storm.. she saw herself pressed up against the railing of a ship fighting the winds trying to reach for someone.. who was calling her name.. but she couldnt quite hear the words over the wind and rain.. what was her name.. what was the man calling out...

she remembered a fear from child hood about water and was afraid she would drown as a wave came crashing over the side of the ship and swept her along with it.. she fear overwhelmed her as she reolized she had lost her love forever.. She screamed and sat up.. breathing heavly as she looked around her chamber to see that it was only a night mare a dream..

Brigid could see the coming light of dawn she got up washed and dressed in a servicable black gown, her keys at her side pulling her hair up into a bun it was time to get the staff awakened and begin the work of cleaning up after the Ball..

Andrew smiled at her when she sadi she thought her husband's name had been Andrew. He wanted to tell her that it had been, and still was, but knew she would probably not like that. He just softly patted Andrew's back. He was glad Brinna was at least talking to him. He'd been worried that she would avoid him.

When she asked about not having a nanny for them he shook his head. She was not out of place saying it at all, she was the mother of the children. She left before he could say anything. He sighed. He took them with him because they were all he had left at the moment. His friends and family were back home and until earlier that night, his wife had been missing, now found, but only slightly. He couldn't stand being apart from the children for very long.

He slowly got up after she left and put Andrew in the crib. He tucked him in and then lay down between the two cribs. He fell asleep there with tears in his eyes. He couldn't stand being so close yet so far from the love of his life. She was the only woman he'd ever loved and she didn't even know who he was. She didn't even remember her own children. His heart ached and he cried himself to sleep on the floor between the children.

Brinna/ Brigid moved threw her daily tasks trying not to avoid the servents stair well as much as possable prefering to put the awful memorys of what had nearly happend to her out of her mind.

Tho she did have to admit even if only to her self that she was glad she had met Liard Buchanan.. and he had stoped them from well from harming her further..

Her cheek and jaw were a little brused but not too badly and the smaller brusies that looked like finger tips from where the men had grabbed her didnt show under her clothing so she would be fine as long as no one looked too closely at her..

Which thank goodness as a house keeper no one really paid too much attention.. Mr and Mrs. Ross were in good spirits and as Brigid had the matter of cleaning and such well in hand they decided to ask the Liard to join them to discuss things sooner than they had origonally planned.

As Mrs. Ross saw Brigid in the hall directing some of the staff she called to her.. Brigid.. I'd like tea brought to the Library in an hour and a note sent round to Liard Buchanan asking him to join us then .. Brigid nodded and waved one of the page boys to take the message to Liard Buchanan while she went to have tea and refreshments prepaird..

Andrew woke in the morning and got up slowly. Lilleth was awake, but Andrew was still asleep. He picked up the baby girl and changed her. He then fed her and got her dressed. By the time he was finished, Andrew was awake and crying. He put Lilleth down and repeated the entire process with the baby boy. He smiled and played with them for a little while.

A little later he took them downstairs with him and ate breakfast while watching them. Once breakfast was done he had to part with them for a little while. He left them with one of the servants. He then ran back to the inn and got the small portrait of himself and Brinna on their wedding day. He then returned to the house.

He spent the rest of the day with his children. When he got the message he smiled. He took his children with him to meet with the Rosses. When he got to the library an hour later as specified, they were there. He sat with his babies in his lap. He was quite sure he knew why they wanted to talk to him, and was ready with his arguments.

Mrs. Ross looked at Andrew thinking him a fine man and the childerns eye coloring shurly showed that the childern were indeed if not Brigid's own then related, and after informing her husbend of what had nearly happend to Brigid last night well it proved his character was that of a good man, but how then had Brigid or Brinna as he called her come to be on a ship with out her husbend....

If Brigid is your Brinna as you say, then why sir was she on that ship with out you? and how is it that you were able to find her so quickly.. It was the nicest way she could think of the ask if they had argued and Brinna had run from him.. He had showed them the portrate and they looked a happy couple in the picture very much in love, but...

They needed to know all they could abot what happend before the summoned Brigid and tryed to help him come up with a way to remember herself.. because the girl in that picture looked very happy and if she were going to get her memory back she needed to be surrounded by familar things and that would mean getting her back on a boat and somehow to scottland with this man..

Andrew listened to her question and had been anticipating it. He held his children close and took a claming breath before starting to explain to them the long and, he felt, quite sad story.

"I am originally from Nothern Scotland, the Mackay clan. My father is the laird there. My twin is older and will inherit the lands when my father passes. My father wanted me to find a bride. He arranged for me to meet Brinna in her lands with her father. I was one of her brother's best friends and so she knew me, in fact she saved my life once when we were very young.

Anyway, we fell in love, but had some trouble with another of her suitors. I rescued her and we realised we loved eachother. We married soon after she healed. She should have a scar on her arm from when she was hurt in the battle. Her father died during that time, killed. Our wedding was a wonderful experience. We were so much in love.

The day after that I went home to get my things and visit my family to tell them of me marriage. When I was leaving we got news of pirates attacking one of our villages. I went to go help before returning home to my bride. Yet, misfortune found me in that village. The pirates were too many in one area. They overpowered me and knocked me unconscious. I spent quite some time on their ship.

One day we were nearing land when a storm hit. The ship was destroyed and I was unconscious and hurt again. I wound up on an island and was taken to a village. They helped me heal, but it took time. Once I regained my strength I looked for a way home. I found that way eventually. A merchant took me to a port and I returned to Britain. I then made my way to Scotland as fast as I could with no money and no mode of transportation.

I returned home to find that Brinna had left four days before. She had got news of where I had ended up and went to find me with my brother. I got news that her ship had been destroyed in a storm. That was when you picked her up. I took care of the children and sent messengers to every port and sea side village. They got info about every ship that would have been in the area. My brother told me she had not washed up on shore like he had.

I mapped out where all ships would have landed. I went and searched everywhere while leaving the babies with my parents. She was nowhere. I only had one place left to check. I hired a ship and got everything together quickly. We took the fastest, yet most dangerous route to get here. We arrived only a few weeks after you. The reason I foud her so fast was because I missed her so much. I long to hold her and kiss her and tell her I love her. It has been so long. Way too long. The babies need her too. Well, that is my story. I hope that explains everything."

As he told his story he started to cry. He held the children close and kissed htem softly every so often. He missed her so very much. He hoped the Rosses would understand and be willing to help him.

Mrs. Ross had touched her husbends arm and looked over at him with sad yet loving eyes as Andrew told his tail she knew Brigid was Brinna.. she had seen the scar on the womans arm when she had helped her to change after they pulled her from the sea..

Looking back at Andrew when he finnished his sad tale she said.. Brigid is your Brinna.. i have seen the scar on her arm you speak of.. but i dont think you can help her regain her memory here.... you should also know that she is terrified of the sea, and will have a difficult time abord ship... but i think i have a way to get her to go with you back to scottland.. She said looking at the twins in his lap, and smiling.

She pulled the bell rope that would signal Brigid/ Brinna to bring in the tea and refresments, Brinna came in with them and set the cart near Mrs Ross so she could serve.. Brigid dear please sit down and join us there is something we wish to discuss with you.. Brigid looked wary for a moment wondering what was going on because she knew Liard Buchanan and the babys were there as well but complyed sitting in one of the chairs across from them..

Larid Buchanan's search has come to an end for the time being and he must retrun home to his holdings for now..but with the baby's mother so far away, they need looking after.. I beleive you would be the perfect choice to go with them and take care of them.. She said smiling at the girl watching the pleased expression on her features at the thougth of caring for the twins but then pailing as she thought of going back on a ship.

Brigid looked at Mr. Ross and Liard Buchanan as they all awaited her responce.. Its not that i dont want to but i am a fraid my last experance with ships has left me afraid of the crossing... but if you truly beleive i am the right person for this then i shall go dispite my fear.. she said a little of the old Brinna peaking threw to face what she was afraid of..

Andrew smiled when Mrs. Ross confrimed that Brigid was Brinna. There had never been a doubt in hismind since the moment he heard her voice. He was just glad they now seemed to be on his side. He would definitely need help trying to make Brinna remember. He nodded at her suggestion. He needed to get her home. She also told him Brinna was afraid of the water, he already knew that. She was his wife afterall.

Brinna was called into the room and Mrs. Ross made her suggestion. It was a very good plan and he felt it would work. When she said she said she was afraid because of her last experience with a ship he smiled. He got up and moved close to her. He took her hand and just held it. He wished he could do more, but he knew he couldn't, not yet.

"Thank you Brigid. My children seem to like you. I think you are the betst person for the job while I try to find my wife. If she is not here then maybe she has already returned home. Anyway, I will keep you safe on the ship. I have a great ship and a great crew. We will be ok."

Brigid nodded her agreement and asked how long she had before they would be leaving and found that his ship and crew were ready to leave as soon as he gave the word, and so if she could gather her things they would depart.

Brigid excused herself then and went to pack. She was in a sort of daze as she went hardly beleaving she was going once more on a ship so soon, after only having just arrived in Boston but ahh well she would like her new job she did like those little ones very much and she had suggested he needed a nurse for them and was glad he had chosen her she would take good care of them.. as if they really wer her own..

It didnt take her long to pack at all she only had 3 dress's counting the black one she wore.. once she was finnished she begain her duties to the little ones already by making sure they were changed and had been fed before they left and that there things were gathered.

Andrew explained that the ship was ready to go at any time. The crew had a fairly quick route planned back, but it was not quite as dangerous as the route he'd taken to get to Boston. She went to gather the few things that she had. She seemed nervoud and happy at the same time.

Andrew sent a message to the docks for the ship to ready itself for departure. Andrew left the children in Brinna's hands while he went to go prepare himself and the ship. She was the best one to care for them anyway, they were her babies, even if she didn't know that. When the ship was nearly ready he sent a messenger to go tell Brinna.

When the messanger arrived Brigid and the babys were ready to leave and rode in the carrage to the docks.. Brigid paled a bit and looked like she might become ill when she got a good look at the ship but shook it off and made her way with the little ones carfully up the gang plank and onto the ship...

Andrew smield when he saw the carriage arrive. He had Brinna/Brigid's cabin set up right next to his. It was furnished much like her room at home. It was not too big, but it was nice. He stepped out on deck when she came up the gang plank. As soon as she and her things were on board the crew started getting the ship untied from the dock. Andrew went over to her and smiled. He had to try hard not to hug and kiss her. Instead he took the babies and held them, kissing them both softly. He then led her to her room.

Brigid gave the babys over to there father and followed him to her cabin.. She was amazed at the comforts it held especally for one such as she, who was only a nurse.. This is a beautiful room... much more than i thought to receive...Thank you.. She also noticed the childrens cradles were also in her small cabin so that she wouldnt disterb his lord ship when she checked on the children at night.. and smiled.

There was a sence of familiarity as she looked around the room as tho, these things had once been hers.. she shook off the feeling however as foolish, but couldnt help wondering if perhaps it was possable she might be who he was looking for, but decided not to get her hopes up.. it would be horrable if her memory returned and she wasnt that woman..

Brigid took the children back from there father and got them settled in at the same time she did so that Andrew could do what ever Liards did on a ship she had no idea.. was he just another passanger or did he also get involved with the crew and lend a hand.. she didnt really know much about him and didnt dare ask... before he left them however she asked.. Will you wish for us to take our meals in the dinning cabin with everyone or perhaps a more privet setting for you and the children in your chamber ?
