Bethothed.....

Adewen blushed at the prospect of being nearly nude infront of him, altho she knew it was foolish to still feel embarassed as he was her husbend and had seen all of her already it was still all new to her and would take some getting used to.

She waited for him to start undressing before she did herself so he wouldnt be watching her when she removed her own clothing or so she hoped.. she stripped down to only her under garments and a simple thin shift that once wet wouldnt hide much of anything.. tentitvly she looked over at her husbend intending to ask if her shift would due.. but insted ended up admiring his broad sholders and muscular frame..

not for the first time noticing that he was truly a handsome man and fearce warrior... clearing her throat she asked.. will this due ? and tryed not to cover herself from his eyes or blush.. altho it was difficult..

Ian didn't really pay too much attention to Adewen as she got undressed. He looked over at her as she was just about ready. He smiled softly at her. She was quite attractive. He knew that already, but seeing her barely dressed reminded him of that. She asked if it was ok and he nodded. "Yes, that will be fine."

He didn't say anything else. He just turned and started wading into the water out until he was waist deep. Then he turned to look at her again. "Ok, come join me out here. Don't worry. It is not very deep. You will be just fine." He stood there and got used to the temperature of the water while waiting for her to join him.

Adewen slowly waded out to join Ian when he called to her, the water was a bit cool but as bright and clear as the day was it would warm eventually. So she was chilled but not freezing..

once she reached his side she looked up at him and smiled.. ok .. what do i do first.. she asked concentrating on what she was about to learn rather than her apperance.

altho had she seen herself she would have been embarassed and run for shore.. due to what her now wet shift reveiled and at the hardness of her nipples thanks to the cool water.. Green eyes looked up into violet and waited for a responce.

Ian watched as Adewen joined him. By the time she got next to him the water was halfway up her stomach. He couldn't avoid his eyes wandering a little over her body. He noticed the hardness of her nipples but avoided looking too much. He focused on teaching her. He looked down into her eyes and gave a slight smile. "First you need to just get used to the water. So go completely under and stay there for a few seconds. Then come back up. After that we will get started on teaching you how to really swim."

He got her used to the water first. Then he started getting her comfortable with it. He had her float on her front and her back. When she was on her back he couldn't help looking at her chest and the rest of her body shown off easily by the wet shift that stuck to her skin. He knew that if she could float easily she could be more relaxed in the water.

Adewen did her best to follow his instructions and do as she was told and in doing so reolized that she was putting alot of trust into his hands and for once didnt mind at all.. it was hard tho not to think about the feel of his hands holding her or touching her as he gave directions or corrected her on some point or another..

doing as he taught her by the end of the day she could float fairly well and tread water fairly decently at least she was able to keep herself up for a short period of time.

The only problem she had was when she got to the point where she couldnt touch for some reason she would be alright for a few moments and then panic would set in and she would forget everything and Ian would have to come after her, but all in all for her first time she hoped she wasnt doing too badly.

Ian was glad that Adewen let him do what he needed to do to teach her to swim. By the time they needed to start back toward the cabin she was doing better. He hoped that with a few more days of practice she would be able to have more confidence and even start being able to go past where she could no longer touch without freaking out. That would be his goal for the end of their time away. He would get her comfortable in deep water. If he could do that he would be happy with himself and proud of her.

As they got out of the water he mentioned how well she was doing already and how he was happy with her progress. He got himself dry as best as he could and then started packing up their things. Once everything was ready to go he looked to her to make sure she was ready. He hoped she had been able to dry off at least enough to wear her clothes without ruining them. He had a feeling she would not be very comfortable walking in almost nothing. He didn't mind, but realised that things would be easier if he kept her happy.

Adewen was tired from all the swimming they had done but happy too because he had complemented her and thought she was doing a good job at least for now.

She waited until he was busy gathering his things before trying to dress herself.. the gown was damp and wet from her own body and the wet shift she had on beneath it, but found she didnt really mind a bit.

she followed Ian back to the cabin and began gathering the things she would need to make there evening meal while he built up a fire to help them both dry out a bit better..

Once they got back to the cabin Ian went to feed and give water to the horse. Then he went back inside and saw Adewen getting soem food. He quickly got a fire started and built it up until it was large enough for her to use for cooking. Once it was ready he went and relaxed. He spent the time while waiting for the meal to be ready to think more about what exactly he should do once they got back to the city. There were a number of options, but none of them would be really easy. Yet he knew that. He knew when he had returned to England that it would be hard to do what he needed. He would just need to focus and somehow avoid problems with Adewen.

As she set out the food for them to eat once it was done cooking she wasnt sure what to say. she knew at least she was a bit tired from swimming most of the day, and probably would be on the morrow as well, but didnt care she was happy for the most part and found herself liking her husbend inspite of everything that was between them.

She ate her food quietly, the warmth from the fire having long ago dried her clothing while she had been cooking and now with a full belly was very comforting.. she smiled over at Ian a bit dreamly and asked.. is there anything you would like some help with before i reitre for the evening.. i know you already watered your horse and have taken care of him is there anything else i can help with ? she asked trying to be of some use.

Ian went over to the table as Adewen finished making their dinner. He ate in silence since she said nothing to him. The food was quite good. He enjoyed it and relaxed after he finished. Adewen smiled at him and he smiled back. She asked if she could help him with anything. It was quite nice of her to offer. He thought for a minute and shook his head. "If everything from dinner is clean then that is all that really needs to be done. This is our honeymoon. We don't need to do much at all. We are supposed to relax and enjoy ourselves. So relax." He smiled at her again and then took his dishes to the bin of water and started to wash them. He didn't know exactly what they would do suring the evening, but they would come up with something.

Adewen nodded and began helping clear away the dishes from the table as he rose to wash his own, in a little amazement for most men she knew her brother and father considered such mundain chores as womans work.. she was happy to see that this was not the case with Ian.

She helped with the dishes and tiding back up the kitchen cleaning up after herself and setting things to rights for in the morning..

Once the cleaning was done Ian went over to the fire and sat down. He looked over at Adewne with a soft smile. He was very glad they were getting along. It was very possible that the arrangement could go well until it was no longer needed. It was also possible that they could become friends, at least until he told her that everything had been a lie. That would be neccesary though, so she could move on with her life and find a real husband.

He pushed away those thoughts and cleared his throat. "Uh, so, what would you like to do this evening? I'm afraid there is not a whole lot around here, but we could think of something, or just get some rest. I'll leave the decision up to you. Whatever you feel like doing." He couldn't think of anything so he figured he may as well make her happy by letting her decide.

Adewen smiled over at Ian as she sat across from him in the only other empty chair by the fire place.. i was thinking if you dont mind about getting some rest, i enjoyed the swimming lessons a lot but i am afraid until i get used to it that i am quite tired.. she said trying to keep from yawning..

She streatched a bit trying to keep awake but as she settled back in the chair to visit with him a bit more before going up to bed she soon found herself curled up asleep right there.

Ian nodded as Adewen decided she just wanted to sleep. It wasn't long before she fell asleep right in the chair. He chuckled to himself a little and then got up. He carefully lifted her up and carried her over to the bed. He set her down and pulled the covers over her. Once she was in bed he went and relaxed by the fire for a while longer. Then he went and slid into bed. He slept facing away from Adewen, but wanted to be in the same bed since he didn't want her asking questions.

When the sun came out Ian woke up. He slowwly slid out of bed and went out to feed the horse. When he went back into the house he made a simple breakfast for himself and Adewen. When it was ready he took it over to the bed and shook Adewen lightly to wake her up. He sat on the edge of the bed and watched her, waiting for her eyes to open.

Adewen awoke and smiled as she streatched her swore body both in memory of and from her swimming lessons of the day before. Smelling the breakfast that Ian was prepairing she washed and dressed quickly hoping that the weather would be sunny again so that they could continue her lessons in the art.

Good morrow husbend.. Adewen said as she joined him still in good spirits

Ian smiled at Adewen and handed her the breakfast he had made. She seemed to be fairly happy. she also called him husband, which made him feel as if she was accepting him. It was great to hear. It would make it tougher to tell her the truth eventually though. He let her eat and he ate a little himself. After a few bites he spoke. "Good morning. I think we will be able to swim some more today, if you feel like it. It looks like a nice day to be in the water."

Ohh yes i was hoping it would be so.. i'll pack a lunch to take with us.. some bread and cheeses.. she said excitedly in answer before turning her attention to her plate and eating all of her food. Hoping he wouldnt mind her excitment at wishing to learn more from him.

Once they were both finished she gathered there dishes and washed them before setting about to gather the things together for there lunch while they would be out. Absently humming to herself as she worked at her task..

Ian was quite happy that Adewen was happy. This trip could have been much worse. He finished his food and then went to make sure he had everything ready for the day. He also helped Adewen get everything prepared. Once it was all ready. he took the package of food and went to the door. He opened it and saw the sun was shining. It looked very nice. It was a perfect day to swim. He looked at Adewen and smiled. "Ok, if you are ready we can go now. I think this will be a really nice day. I also think you could do well and learn to swim much better. Just believe in yourself."

Adewen nodded and continued to smile glad of his encouragement because altho she was excited she was a little nervous to hoping she would remember what she already learned and hoped to improve on..

She walked along side him but kept a little distance not wanting to break the easy truce they had found between them.. sometimes with out thinking espcecally when she was happy. She would wonder which got her into alot of trouble and was how she had ended up here.

she also was very expressive and tended to touch whoever she was talking to on the arm or hand with out meaning too but now so as not to over step herself she was trying to curb her natural tendancies unless invited other wise which was not easy.

Insted she continued to hum to herself and look at the trees and plants as they passed on there way to the lake.

Ian led Adewen the same direction they had gone in before. It wasn't long before they could see the water. He smiled and went a little faster. Soon they were near the water. He placed everything under a tree. He had enjoyed himself so far that day and he hoped the rest of the day went as well. Adewen had been humming a nice tune, it seemed she was thinking the same as him. He looked over at her and then quickly changed into what he would wear for swimming. He waited for her to be ready and then took her by the hand. He led her into the water and then out fairly deep. He got to the poin where she coud ust tand with her head out of the water. He then let go of her. He took a few steps deeper and looked at her. "I want you to swim out to me as best as you can. Don't be afraid, I will help you if you need it."

Adewens excitement turned to simple nervousness as he lead her deeper out into the water she had thought they would start slow and ease there way out but apparently not. she tryed to stay calm and not panic she could barely touch with her toes when he let go and swam out a bit further on his own instructing her to swim to him the best she could.

she did her best to push her nervousness aside and concentrate on what she needed to do. Ok i'll try.. she said with a look of concentration rather than fear she mannaged to slowly make her way to him, doing alright unless she stopped moving and started to sink.

Ian watched as Adewen started trying to swim out to him. As she did he moved backward so she had to go farther. Eventually he stopped and then held onto her to support her. He smiled. "That was great. See, you can swim. Just remember, if you start to worry, just do your best to float and keep yourself up. Look, see how far you went. You just need to be confident." He smiled at her and then brought her back to where she could stand. He then proceeded to help her work on skills that would improve her swimming ability.

The next few days built up her conficance enough that she was comfortable swimming on her own now she was no where near his level of skill but well enough that she was able to be by herself if she chose.

She sat on a rock watching the waves of the water as she waited for the sun to dry she skin and hair before putting back on her cloths. She found herself liking and even admiring her husbend dispite the fact that she knew him to be a spy for the scots.

She knew the time was drawing closer when he would have to return to the courts, the question was would he take her with him or would he take her to his family? she didnt know and didnt ask leaving the decision in his hands.

She wouldnt blame him if he took her to his family it would be the best way to insure her silence about who he really was, no accidental slip ups that way especally with her tendancy to wonder and get herself into trouble.

something else she noticed as well that bothered her he never approched her as a husbend ushually did. not to hold her hand or attempt to kiss her it seemed he held no affection for her save for that of a friend, but she couldnt really blame him due to how there marrage had come about...

Maybe he was waiting for her to show him some sign...should she ask him she wondered..... but then maybe in time things would change between them, and they would become more than friends.. It was a slow begining between them but a begining none the less, as they were married there would be no going back.

Ian spent the next few days teaching Adewen to swim. It was a great time and they really got to know eachother well. On a couple of occasions he actually had to remind himself that their marriage was fake. Something was happening. He was starting to really like her. He wasn't supposed to like her. He was using her. Plus, she was English. He kept reminding himself of what he needed to do. He had to push away any of those bad thoughts about maybe actually liking Adewen. He couldn't afford anything like that when all of Scotland could be at stake. He made his decision of what to do. He needed to find out about one of the only unknown factors. He had to figure out what Adewen's father was doing for the king. It had to be something big. On their last day of the honey moon he brought up the topic at dinner.

He looked at Adewen and smiled. "So, I've decided what I would like to do. I think I would like to work with your father. Do you think he would be willing to take me on and have me work for him. Maybe I could handle finances, or keep track of orders, and other such things. Or do whatever he wants. I don't really have anything else to do. I sent my report off home already. Now I need to wait for orders. It could take weeks for a decision to be made. So, what do you think?"

To be honest i am not sure most of fathers men have worked with him a long time and he dose not take new crew members on unless there is no other alternitive. He runs his buisness's the same, but i could speak to him and see if he would make an acception for family.

Adewen wasnt really sure why he wanted to work for her father and thought about asking him if it might seem suspicious for a man who was recently at court to be looking for work but kept her own councle figuring he knew what he was about.
