Well, someone's going to start this sooner or later, so I guess I'll do it. The Blockbuster commercial with the mouse and the Bud Lite commercial with Carlos Mencia are the early favorites. Seems like a better crop of advertisements this year (or maybe I'm just in a good mood because we're playing well early).

The Apple advert from the 1984 Superbowl

One of the best ads I've ever seen ever

The Coca Cola one during the first half was, well, different....

Oh, my favorite one so far is the wireless internet.

Connectile dysfunction.

:D

Kudos to Emerald nuts for a Robert Gulliet commercial. Who would've expected that? I loved seeing him climbing on the ceiling, Spiderman style. :D

Probably just me but through the end of the third quarter, I hadn't seen any people would be talking about on Monday. The Blockbuster one was fun, but I think it was a repeat. Budweiser has had a couple cute ones (the poor dog and the crabs). This year, the game actually seems a bit more interesting than the ads.

I disagree. I know it's subjective, but I'm enjoying these a lot more than the last few years (especially last year...it really sucked). The 'Surviving the work week' commercials are pretty clever.

Most of them have been pretty cute.. I can't narrow it down to one I really really like.
All I know is that those damn Toyota truck commercials make me nervous!! LOL.

I liked the Bud Lite one with the Gorillas.

"Seriously, what did you say?"

I liked the Coke one where the guy looked like a thug but ended up doing a ton of good deeds as he walked down the streets. :)

Driver "Hey, maybe we should pick him up."

Guy in the back - "But he's got a chainsaw!"

Driver - "And Bud Lite."

:D Priceless

Oh yeah, I almost forgot....

"Let's play rock paper scissors for it."

:D ROTFLMAO

Yeah, that one was pretty damn good.

"What's the axe for?"

"Can opener."

"Get in."

The most enjoyable commercial I ever saw during the superbowl was a few years ago and it was for some kind of snack food. I don't remember what it was, but it featured one of the hottest women I have ever seen on TV. :p

The Bud Lite commercial with the Axe Guy...and the Chevy(?) commercial with the suicidal assembly-line robot were my faves.

That WOULD be your defining characteristic, Box. ;)

I still like the first Budweiser commercial with the frogs. Can't stand the beer, but I loved the frogs.

I'll bet it was the Doritos one (with the brunette catching Doritos). She's a model named Ali Landry (and yes, she's ridiculously hot).

Yeah, that was the one. It was set in a laundromat, and one of the things she did was to catch a Dorito in her mouth :nana: when it came shooting out of a dryer.

Speaking from the sponsors' point of view, having somebody like her in a commercial might be self-defeating. She is so :p hot :p that everybody is drooling over her, and doesn't even notice the name of the product.

I loved the "office workers in the jungle ones (career.com) - they were hilarious!

The Coke ones were really insipid, weren't they?

I watched as much commercial as game, but the latter seemed kind of exciting, which is nice.

Overall, on balance, I didn't think the commercials were really outstanding, at least from an entertainment point of view. But entertaining us is not really the object, it is? The Toyota truck ads weren't entertaining at all, in your face, more like, but I'll bet they sell a lot of truck (giving GM and Ford even more conniptions.)

I liked the Bud axe one, and the Doritos checkout line one, too. The Robert Goulet was cute. (Robert Goulet? Where did that come from? )

Ali Landry, is a real Cajun queen (Miss USA), the pride of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and Cecilia High School way down in the south Louisiana bayou country, and V-E-R-Y hot.

My favorite was the Snickers commercial where the two mechanics accidentally kiss and then go into homosexual panic.
