Best of the Worst...

LOL
i once had a feedback from someone who enjoyed my bdsm stories. they asked me to write a story for them but then went into *exactly* what they wanted....so detailed that they could have written it.
too fun

Probably the strangest was this:

"incredible story....it's like getting to read my fantasy word for
word..."

on my non-consent written in first person by the pov of the perpetrator. Kidna scary.

Imagine a vary similar comment on a non con written from the 'victem's' POV ... Think thats a little scarier, someone identified with the asshole character in my story a little too closely, it was FREAKY.

As for favs I can't judge :) I love them all. Even the slimy ones, those are like newborns ;)

I've gotten a lot of good feedback. The only outright troll I've ever gotten wasn't even directed at me but at the person I credited with helping me with the story.

So, best was one I got on my Halloween story. From a person whose comment was literate and very flattering.

Worst was an e-mail about someone complaining how I ruined the central character's career.

All right, so I haven't written anything for Lit -- that doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt though.

The most amusing was probably "DEATH TO ALL POOFS" - on a story in the "Gay Male" category, of course. One can see why someone of that mindset would be wandering around that category. The SO and I were also amused by someone who opined that "Will" needed more sex. Granted, there's not a great deal in it, but we felt, for reasons hopefully apparent to those who have read it, that this suggested that the point might have been missed by just a tiny bit.

The best? Has to this one for "Will":

Triumphantly, tragically beautiful

I have no words to express how much this story moved me, Shanglan, though I keep trying.

I could say much the same about the PC.

People made some very kind comments on "Will." They were more deeply appreciated than perhaps I can say. The story was very difficult to write, and personal to me on many levels. I suppose my thanks may get tiresome, but it's hard to put into words what it meant to me to meet with encouragement.

My absolute favorite, ever, was on Possession, my halloween entry last year:

Fun time in the Big Easy.

Yeah, sometimes feedback is like vanity plates... you keep looking at them thinking, I know it means something, but I just can't figure out what.

Well, that one's my favorite because I look up to Rumply, I suppose.

I removed half a dozen stories from Lit recently ... and failed to save their PCs in advance. :( There were some good ones in that batch. *sigh*

A while back I got the following feedback. I couldn't figure it out so I stored in a folder labeld "JUST PLAIN NUTS!"

If anyone can figure it out, don't tell me. I don't want to know.

Talk about irony! Here is some feedback from the person who hates me most on this website (and boy, that's saying something!).

I am running out of adjectives to adequately describe your work...A
friend, online, 170 IQ..in Canada, BC, we have been discussing
'speciation' in the exact way you project it in this chapter...and we both arrived
at our thoughts totally independent of each other....I can only hope
that you have received enough positive response to your story/theory, to
confirm and inspire you to continue...another 5 of course, could I go
higher...I would, excellent! regards...amicus...

Positive feedback from amicus.

Dear lord, I wouldn't know how to begin to take that.

Irony? I see none. At least consider he can separate your writing from your politics...;)

And to Shanglan ~

Sorry, Minisue, you've got it backwards. This is kind of a chicken and egg thing. He read my writings first and praised them profusely. (This is one of several postive comments that I still have in my saved folders from Mr. Amicus)

It was only after he decided (through discussions on this forum) that I was a socialist and a liberal that he found suddenly that he hated the very story he had praised so (you should pardon the expression) liberally.

So, yes, Minisue. The word is irony. And no, Minisue, he cannot seperate my writings from his twisted opinion of my politics.

BTW, Minisue: I am a moderate and have been a registered independent my entire life. I have voted for as many Republicans as I have Democrats. And I hold both parties in contempt, admittedly for different reasons. But because I see the totaly sophistry that Amicus represents, to him I am a socialist.

Yes, Minisue, the word is irony.

I can't even post here. All my feedback have been sent by people who are literate.

On a good note, a few of those literate people happen to be "local" authors in thier own right. Thanx, guys.

You managed a taut tension throughout, with mystery and mysticism wafting through everyday life. I could not stop reading...thank you...amicus...

..but he likes to pull my braids. ;)

If I recall correctly, a feedback on "Topping Love" (since removed -- the story, not the comment) read:

Yuppies talk to much. Why don't they shut up and fuck or something?

:D
