- Dennis Furina (as Ray Bones) From Get Shorty

Vercotti: Doug... (takes a drink) I was terrified of him. Everyone was terrified of Doug! I've seen grown men pull their own heads off rather than see Doug. Even Dinsdale was terrified of Doug!

Interviewer: What did he do?

Vercotti: He used sarcasm. He knew all the tricks- dramatic irony, metaphor, bathos, puns, parody, litotes, and satire!

Rosie O'Donnell to Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle. 'You don't want to be married......you want to be married in a movie".

Harvey
Elwood P. Dowd: Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be'--she always called me Elwood--'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

When Harry Met Sally
Harry: 'I love that you get cold when it's 71 degrees out. I love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. I love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're looking at me like I'm nuts. I love that after I spend the day with you, I can still smell your perfume on my clothes. And I love that you are the last person I want to talk to before I go to sleep at night. And it's not because I'm lonely, and it's not because it's New Year's Eve. I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.'

Sally: You see? That is just like you, Harry. You say things like that, and you make it impossible for me to hate you. And I hate you, Harry. I really hate you.

The Philadelphia Story
C. K. Dexter Haven: How about you, Mr. Connor? You drink, don't you - alcohol, I mean?
Macaulay Connor: Oh, a little.
Dexter: A little? And you a writer? Tsk, tsk, tsk. I thought all writers drank to excess and beat their wives. You know, at one time I think I secretly wanted to be a writer.

I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what YOU broke.

In the Truman Show with Jim Carrery it's the scene where he realizes things aren't what they seem. He has Laura Linney in the car with him.

He's getting ready to drive off with her in the passenger seat and she attempts to get out. She says, "If you're going to kill yourself you can do it without me."

He grabs her by the arm and responds, "I think I'd like the company." Now that's a good line.

From As Good as it Gets...

Receptionist: "How do you write women so well?"

Melvin Udall: "I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability."

Jessica Rabbit (Kathleen Turner)

From Body Heat.

Matty: [to Ned] You aren't too smart, are you? I like that in a man.
Ned: What else do you like? Lazy? Ugly? Horny? I got 'em all.
Matty: You don't look lazy.

Favorite line

Edwards: Why the big secret? People are smart. They can handle it.
