Bejesus?

Alrighty Arthers, I need a wee bit of help. I'm looking for a better way to say "scare the bejesus". Can anyone help me think of a synonym for the phrase?

"Scare the hell out of" doesn't quite fit, either.

Even a re-phrase of the entire thing could be acceptable. Go ahead, give me your best shot.

Even "butterfly wings" sounds too fucking smarmy, but I can't think of anything better at the moment. Aaarrgh! I've been cursed by the smarmy witch!

You that leap makes sense from, I thought of that myself once it was cropped. He, on the other hand, could see the beach and such and also knew where the pictures were taken.
