I'm heading out the door, but I'll look for you around later. Have a great day!Nice...the guy shooting the vid sounds a little spooked.thør said:Check out this Vid of the Lowe River near Valdez, AK. Watch long enough to see one of the waterfalls along the canyon. You can see why this place is a premier ice climbing destination in winter.

Same here. There's absolutely no room for error. I'll take my chances with rocks, roots, and mt. sides. Cliffs are a no go!Peregrinator said:C, I've seen those rimshots before...those guys are braver than me. That just looks terrifying.
LOL, like candyland for ice climbers in the winter.....Peregrinator said:Nice...the guy shooting the vid sounds a little spooked.
In winter:
LOL.......i have enough chance of being a fatality on a ski trail, much less, a cliff.....Collette said:Same here. There's absolutely no room for error. I'll take my chances with rocks, roots, and mt. sides. Cliffs are a no go!
On the mtb, it's because I'm going too slow...can't clear the object! Strange how speed can the best and worst thing.thør said:LOL.......i have enough chance of being a fatality on a ski trail, much less, a cliff.....
my worst splats have been in the woods....just not paying attention, of going too fast.....
there are optimum speeds for all activities....*grinz*Collette said:On the mtb, it's because I'm going too slow...can't clear the object! Strange how speed can the best and worst thing.
I've never been very technical on a mtb. I just like to cruise along. Some of the stuff that people do on mtb's is amazing to me. Who looks at this and thinks, "I wanna ride my bike up that?"Collette said:Same here. There's absolutely no room for error. I'll take my chances with rocks, roots, and mt. sides. Cliffs are a no go!
He seemed pretty relaxed.thør said:LOL, like candyland for ice climbers in the winter.....
the guy rowing the cat is one of my oldest boating friends.....there's never a need to be spooked on his boat......
My technical skills have never been great. More of a pedal like mad and hope to hell I get through. It's not the ride up that structure that would concern me, it's the lack of any structure at the top!Peregrinator said:I've never been very technical on a mtb. I just like to cruise along.
