Beach Side Lofts

Brodie laughed, shaking his head at her and shot a hand out, taking hers to pull her up out of her seat. She wasnt getting out of this if he had anything to do with it. He slid her chair away with his foot and lifted her hand over her head, giving her a spin as he sang, palming the mic in his other hand close to his lips.

"Ooh-oo child
Things are gonna be easier
Ooh-oo child
Things'll get brighter
Ooh-oo child
Things are gonna be easier
Ooh-oo child Things'll get brighter

Some day, yeah
We'll get it together and we'll get it all done
Some day
When your head is much lighter
Some day, yeah
We'll walk in the rays of a beautiful sun
Some day
When the world is much brighter!!"

With another spin he hugged an arm around her waist, giving Vivi a small dip and brung her back up, slowly singing softer, trailing off as the song ended looking into her eyes. When the music shut he was greeted with the applause and shouts of the small number of patrons that had taken keen interest in the performance. He gave abit of a blush at the aftermath of the attention and chuckled, tossing the mic back toward a man close to the karaoke machine.

Vivi had been wracked with shy embarrassment throughout the whole song, and if his getting her invovled wasn't enough she was beet red. She couldn't do much but sway with him as he held her close; giggles leaving her every second. When he dipped her she yelped slightly but was brought up quickly flushing slightly at the attention.

"You are nuts." she commented as the music ended, though she had thought to do a little karaoke of her own she wasn't expecting this litttle surprise. She kept her face hidden in his shoulders still rather red in the face.

He laughed and plopped down on his chair, shaking his head. "Guilty as charged..." He snickered over to her, wiping a hand down his face.

"Phew boy...not entirely sure where that came from though..." He smiled and poured himself another cup of sake, hastily drinking it back with a satisfing sigh. "Still...wasnt too shabby was it?"

"No you did great actually, better than what I would have previously thought." she smiled sitting down to snag a california roll and plopped it in her mouth. "It was a cute performance." She winked drinking more sake a light tint of red coloring her face.

He pinced his chopsticks down into his small bowl of rice and shoveled in afew scoops into his mouth and smirked at her, wiping his mouth with his napkin.

"Hehe, well If you have low expectations it helps..." He said jokingly, leaning foward in his chair abit and smiling back at her. "Thankyou though...oh dear.." He gave a light chuckle and grinned, gesturing to her reddened cheeks. "And I was the one who had to do all the work!" He snickered as he brought his cup of sake up to his lips, drowning his laughter with a happy sigh.

"I hardly ever get to see you blush Vivi...and I find it very cute aswell." Brodie nodded at her, giving the side of his shaggy hair a ligh scratch.

Vivi let out a tinkle of laugher. "You are a joker, you know that Brodie." she had finished off what was left of her food never one to waste, her plate was cleaned and all her food gone. Quite a lot of such a little person, sat across the table wiping her mouth and staring at Brodie in silence. "Lets go to the beach and walk along the sand. Its so nice out, and I'm afraid I'll burst if I don't walk off this food soon..." she chuckled feeling her little belly.

"Yeah, joker..." He muttered, twinging his eye and smirking. Though he agreed with her, he was done and some how she managed to pack away enough food to feed a family of four. Definitly was impressed with that. He finished off his sake and put his napkin on the table over his bowl of rice, giving her a nod.

"Let's do that..." He smiled looking over to her and perked his head up, signaling the waiter over to bring them their check. He put his credit card in the leather folder and the waiter went off to ring him up, and he got out acouple bucks for a tip. It took but a moment to have his card and receipt. Brodie got up and nodded toward the door.

"Well, let's head out then!"

Vivi smiled standing to her feet as they left the resturant. Stepping outside the wind picked up quickly blowing, Vivi a few steps away where she had to hang onto a light pole. "Well hello to you too..." she joked toward the wind her hair flying about her softly. Looking back to Brodie he was laughing heartily at her current state.

"Oh so you laugh at my expense?" she asked gathering her wits she walked up to him locking her arm into his for support against the wind. "So lead the way big guy..." she laughed leaning her head on his shoulder.

"Me laugh at your expense? Never!" He laughed grinning, nudging the side of her rib. He took his shoes and socks off so he could feel the sand between his toes and kept Vivi close to him.

"Alright, just keep up then!" Brodie chuckled and walked out onto the beach with her, looking out ot the slowly crashing waves. Like her long hair his shaggy moptop was blown softly back by the wind.

"Weather sure did pick up while we were inside..." he smirked looking down to her. He took a deep breath of the crisp, night air and sighed. The light from the moon and stars only brought out her beauty. It was enough to make his heart skip a beat.

Vivi followed suit, slipping off her shoes to allow the luxuary of the sand against her feet. She looked up to Brodie admiring his simple charms as they walked along against the light of the moon. She began whistling the tune to Brodie's earlier performance turning soft eyes on him as she continued to whistle idly. The water lapped against their feet ever so often, though despite the chilly air the water was rather warm and inviting. "Should we take a dip?" she asked, kicking up sand and water as she dislodged herself from Brodie to play in the water.

"A dip?" He smirked and looked out into the ocean. Well he had to admit, it did look inviting. Not to mention this night was already going so well.

"Yeah, why don't we go out. I could do for a swim V." Brodie chuckled and began unbuttoning his shirt down and slipped it off to the ground, pulling his wifebeater off from over his head.

Vivi simply pulled up her dress tighing it softly around her thigh to keep from getting overly soaked but other than that she began running farther down the coast line and into the warm water. "Ooh. It's really warm.." she confirmed scooping a handful of water and splashing Brodie with it. "Ha gotcha!"

Brodie closed his eyes as he was splashed in the face and smirked as water beaded down his head, giving it a shake. "Now don't start something that you can't finish V!" He waded into the warm, ocean water closer to her and skimmed his hand over the breaking water, splashing back at her.

"Hah! Gotcha' back!" He chuckled.

She held her dress firmly around her as she kicked up her feet splashing water in the process. Dancing around him she continued to splash him wetting him thoroughly as she skillfully dodged his advances running off in the distance so he couldn't reach her. "Ha! And you suck at this..." she said sticking out her tongue as a peel of laugher left her. "I am the ultimate champ."

"D'oh!!" Brodie made a vain attempt at defense, laughing hard at her antics. He wiped his now slick wet hair back and coughed, narrowing his eyes out at her and charged foward. "Not for long your not!" He shouted over the waves, clumsily pushing his way foward through the water and sand.

"Your not getting away from me!" He laughed, getting within afew feet from her. Suddenly though, he tripped and went face foward into the water, getting sucked under a black wave that slowly moved in. Afew bubble surfeced to the dark water, but after several moments he still didn't surface.

Vivi giggled as he came forward she only drew back as he neared. When he tripped and went under she laughed and waited for him to resurface. No such luck, after a few more seconds he didn't return to the surface and she began to grow worried. "Brodie...this isn't funny. Brodie?" She knelt down in the sand, the water sweeping past her as she tried feeling for him under the waves. She couldn't see in such dim lighting and could hardly guess where he'd be if the wave hadn't already swept him away. "Brodie!?" she yelped in horror as she started to frantically feel around for him under the water, a few times she was snatched under by the waves as well but managed to fight her way back to the surface.

Before she could make it to shore a pair of hands shot out around her waist and pulled her back. Brodie laughed as he shot out of the water, falling backwards with her in his arms back into the water. The two of them went under for second before popping back up. Brodie couldnt halp but laugh, spitting a shot of water up in the air like a whale.

"Hehehe, well maybe it was alittle funny!"

He was met with a rather miffed expression as she pushed against him to release his hold. Walking back onto the shore she stood there dripping wet, cloths plastered to her skin, and her hair falling down her back in wet clumps. "That was not funny at all!" she said with purpose. "I thought you'd been taken under. That's not a nice game to play..." she turned away from him crossing her arm over her chest against the sudden chilled air the breezed past. She could feel her teeth chattering under the pressure and remained standing angry and cold.

Brodie gave another chuckle and tilted his head as she broke from his grip with ease, marching off to the beach. Aw shoot. He didnt think she would take it so badly. His smile quickly dissapated and he stood up, scratching the back of his head.

"Aww geez Vivi, I didnt know that you were worrying that much about me. Really im a strong swimmer. Im sorry though..." He sighed and chewed on his bottom lip. So much for it being a good night. Always had a tendency to screw these things up one way or another. He sighed and gave a glum look, jogging back up to her on the sand. She definitly was pissed.

"...Here, sit tight for a second, ill be right back..." He gave her an ernest look and nodded to her, running off farther up the beach. He returned after afew minutes, comming back with a large stack of dry drift wood in his arms and dumped it on the ground.

"You'll be dried out in no time V..." he grabbed some crumpled pieces of paper and trash and smirked. "Good thing for litterbugs no?" Doubt his joking would help sooth her ruffled feathers but it was worth a try. He stuck the paper under a smaller pile of kindling and pulled a zippo from his back pocket, clinking it open. Though it was wet, after afew strikes he got a flame out of it and lit off the fire.

"Hey you can umm..sit down if you want..." he said arching his brow up to her, adding to the fire bit by bit. He slapped the ground next to him and tilted his head.

Vivi was still turned from him and managed small smile at his lame jokes but she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of seeing her smile. As he built the fire she could feel it growing to life the flame warming her skin from her distance. There was no need to be stubborn he apologized and it was all in jest anyway.

Sittling over to him she sat next to him and leaned her head against his shoulder. "I was scared for you. No more pranks like that and I'll forgive you. Deal?" she asked looking up to him with pleading eyes.

As she sat down he smirked, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. He had to admit that it was abit uncalled for. He always did have a sort of cynical humor and he forgot that some people could be put off by it.

"I promise V, I dont want to scare you like that again. Its a deal.." He looked into her soft eyes, the flickering orange hues of the fire glinting off her and the only sounds to be heard was the hissing pops of the burning fire and the crashing waves of the sea. This was feeling to perfect. One of those moments that just come along and disapear just as quickly. Was she still pissed at him?

Brodie gave a small smile as he looked down at her, finally leaning down slowly to press his lips gently against hers, tilting her head back slightly as he did.

Vivi was enthralled by the fire that she didn't even feel him make a move or notice he was kissing her until she let out an adible sigh into his mouth. She blinked a few times eyes wide at what was transpiring. A million thoughts in her mind, push him away or return the kiss? Too much to think about just do it...

Finally her mind won out as she lowered her eyes and returned his kiss, soft and sweet rather timid and unsure as it was. She could only lean against him for support or risk passing out like a fragile maiden. Hardly fragile but a maiden just the same she had to wonder if he was kissing her to make up for his brute joke earlier or simply because he wanted to.

Brodie sensed the tension melting away and gave a hard sigh, shifting in the sand slightly for a better position. He tilted his head to hers kissing slowly against her soft, lush lips. He could have sworn he could feel sparks flying, but realized that it was just popping embers from the fire hitting his bear feet. His hand came up to brush against her cheek as he broke away slightly to speak, lingering on her bottom lip for a moment.

"..Ive wanted to do that for a long time..." He wispered grinning, giving a light chuckle but stifling it quickly. A broad smile came over his face as he slowly brushed his thumb under her eye. "..I like you alot Vivi, did you know that?"

Vivi vaguely heard him speak still caught up in the moment before she opened her eyes to blush full red in the face. "I-I didn't know that." she confirmed, okay so he did want to kiss her and it wasn't out of an apology. Fine. She looked to the fire for a while trying to catch her breath and gather her wits. A shiver went up her spine more out of the initial kiss then being cold but she could feel the chilled air around her mixing with the fire it gave an interesting play of hot and cold. "I like you too..." she finally confessed after returning her gaze to Brodie, "...and I've wanted you to do that for a while now." she added surprising even herself. "Can you do it again?" she was growing bold but nothing that would pull her from her comfort zone.

Brodie shifted closer and smiled happily, parting a lock of her long, damp hair back and behind her ear.

"Well you won't hear a complaint out of me kiddo.." He gave a light chuckle and slid his hand behind her head to cradle it somewhat. As he leaned in again the tips of his fingers from his right hand went up her delicate neck, grazing lightly along the curves and angles of her body. His hand went down and rested on her shoulder as their lips met again, a light sigh escaping into her mouth as his lips met hers pationatly.
