Trout season opened yesterday around here. Cousins in the country might hit the creek near the family "compound" tomorrow.

I get scared anytime something is described as a compound lol, we just have a small 100 acre family fiefdom XD

It's a small farm house - only 4 bedrooms that held 4 boys and 5 girls - and the acreage is barely 50. What sets it apart is the Schoharie Creek runs through it, cutting off a third of it from the main area.

Now if you want to talk acreage, I ahve an aunt that has a vegetable farm, with a few dairy cows and hippotherapy horses. Most of it's now being turned over, getting ready for "organic" vegetables and fruits - and do not call tomatoes and bell peppers veggies to her face or she's slap the word out of your mouth. LOL

We cousins would work on her farm one or two weeks a year, give her farm hands help or time off. My wife always wondered how I learned to throw snow when I shovel LOL
