The obsession with skinniness is driven by magazine editors who are just not interested in women. Visit any workshop and the poster girls are not selected from the pages of Vogue, Elle or Marie Claire. They are voluptuous and sexy and a true indication of what turns real men on.

Most of us men love REAL women. Not the plastic model types. Despite what they say about men I guarantee the majority of us go for the personality first. When you interact with someone, for example at work, its the type of person you are that hits or buttons. Looks etc come second, in my opinion anyway.

However the dichotomy is that real men prefer women who are plump, look at most of our porn stars, they are far bigger than most famous models and actresses. Look at some of our most famous sex icons like Marylin Monroe...far bigger than what the media spoon feeds us.

If you go back even further for scientific proof, men have always like women with big breasts and wide hips, they reproduce better and are healthier and stronger.

Why is Kim Kardashian famous? Because she has a huge ass and huge hips! That's what men like.

My friend back east had a saying: 'There's a pot for every lid'.

I know our media/mainstream news sources do a lot to hide the fact, but men are attracted to all kinds of characteristics. It depends on the man -- sexual preferences are a very individual thing. Same for women.

So, yeah, you're going to run into guys who are ONLY attracted to thin women. And there are guys who are fine with a wide range of bodies. HOWEVER: there are guys who are ONLY attracted to big women, too! Your job is to not settle for a guy who will like you 'despite' your looks, but who is into you 'including' your looks (in other words, sticking with the last two categories of guys will do far more for your relationships, and for your confidence in the long run (....which is cool, because confidence is a very attractive trait to have!).

It takes work, but you can steadily deprogram yourself to need that validation from people who hate your body....they're not the only people in the world. Here are some places that helped me to improve:

Ok focusing on your question- Yes. There are extremely nice guys who prefer a few curves to skin and bones.
So while I absolutely understand where you are at, and it will take some time to get yourself there, the best advice I can give you is to get out there and just fracking OWN IT!

Confidence is sexy, period.

Now yes, there are some dudes out there that assume we have a total lack of control and self-esteem. And they will try to use that to their advantage.
Tell them to bugger off The good guys will find you once you have finished finding yourself. I promise you this.

I found bras that fit large busted women that are pretty but the materials are weak and cheap. I'm not spending my money on something that falls apart after a couple of washes. I want pretty/sexy lingerie that fits, flatters and lasts.

Of course I have. I'm five feet tall. Clothing makers assume that if you are bigger this also means you are taller...Not a friggin' thing there fits me. Including the bras which I did have a "Fitting" for....

Not sure if I am in the correct section or not but I have a question that always nags at me. Are there men that are truly more attracted to bigger women?? It sounds silly to ask and I have had boyfriends and partners that swear that they are but it still nags at me that maybe they just like me because they see me as easier to try and pick up or that my standards must be lower. I want to believe that its my lack of confidence that is the culprit of all this. I have some friends that are bigger like me and its hard to talk to them about how I feel because they are much more confident so hopefully im not offending anyone by posting this but I just want an honest opinion if some men totally prefer curvy fun

Yeah, If I shop there I know that I will have to take the item to be altered by a seamstress.
This could be why if I go shopping, I only go once a year! It's just a logistical and financial nightmare. Life would be so much better if we could all just run around naked.
