Look, this might seem like a very stupid question, how exactly to you define "Gothic"?
3rd definition of Goth according to allwords.com is as follows:
"Someone who dresses mainly in black, often having dyed black hair and stark black and white make-up, and who identifies with Gothic Rock music."
Well, in high school I didn't dress up all in black (Though my black Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC shirts were my favorite to wear in high school), I do not dye my hair black, though I tried to let it grow long without much success. I don't wear makeup, don't have tattoos, and I don't have piercings.
I like gothic rock OK, but I also like classic rock and heavy metal. Being a goth, like so many other stereotypes, is a lifestyle, right? I kept to myself mostly in High School, but the group I always was able to get along with were "The Goths", the dark dressed people who ate their lunch near the boiler room (I promise this is true). I am not 'emo' by nature, though a lot of 'emo' people fit into the Goth persona, sort of. I said all of this to ask you a question:
Does that make me a reformed, conservative "Goth"? LOL. No, I promise I'm not making fun of the goth stereotype. I'm probably just an ordinary white guy with gothic tendencies.
