Back To Black

Hey Holy Devil, just read the opening page of the thread and wanted to offer up some trivia in relation to it.

On the first page, you mentioned your liking for the song 'Fade to Black' by Metallica (a classic track for sure).
You also offered a fellow poster a picture of a black rose, I was reminded that the band Thin Lizzy recorded an album called Black Rose, a rock legend.
So far so good, also it has been suggested that the 'duelling' guitar soloing towards the end of Fade to Black was at least partly inspired by the duelling guitar solos that appear on the songs Waiting for an alibi and Do anything you want to, which appear on the album Black Rose, that may seem a little far fetched to some but it's noteworthy that Metallica covered Thin Lizzy's 'Whisky in the jar' on the Garage Days set.

Ah well, trivia aside, I hope you continue to post more of these dark images, excellent thread.

Excellent info and observation. You and Byron and I and alot of others here are real Metal Heads and lovers of the Darkness, that's for sure.

Thanks. :)
