I submitted one a few weeks back that never appeared, so I did another quickee mess in MS Paint just to see what would happen.


As I asked on the Visual Arts board, if anyone wants to take on the task of creating avatars for Lit use, we might be able to start a thread somewhere as a repository.

It is interesting that the one I wanted to change too was me fully clothed

That's why I don't think the issue is that they reject most avatars and don't notify. It's more likely something like this: changing avatars may require a complicated procedure, and one person has to do it manually. It's not just a simple 'check and click' procedure. Literotica (especially people's profiles) is -- I suspect -- on some older server not directly related to the new beta version, and it probably requires copying files here and there, and there...and there... That's my guess.
 
Yeah I think that is part of the problem, the site is run by what 1 or 2 people?

there is a TON of stories to read every day, a bucket load of forum posts to moderate,

Doing Profile pictures is probably far down the priority list.

Meh I don't mind to much, sure it will be nice once all my social profiles match up, but in the long term, is someone going to come onto my lit profile from reading a story or a link I've shared and see my (imo amateurish and rubbish) profile picture and say "nope not following him look at that rubbish profile picture" Highly doubtful

Are Laura and Manu doing this by themselves? Are they looking for any volunteer mods for just AV pics?
 
Do avatars need to be moderated? Are litsters so untrustworthy?

Perhaps a trial period of a few weeks to see what happens if we could change our avatars at will?

Problem is you just know if they did that someone would post a profile pic of their "junk" which is against the tos I'm fine with waiting it out, I'm sure it will be updated in due time and within probably a batch of them

We don’t have any insight into this process. I don’t know if it’s just the two of them, but if it is, I’m sure they have a computer helping with some of the process. To my knowledge there aren’t mods working on it and I don’t know if they are looking for any. It could be worth sending Laurel a PM.

That's one of the biggest reasons for this change. Too many Dicks and their cockatars.

Based on the number of images moderators have to remove here on a daily basis, yes Litsters are untrustworthy. And the powers that be made this decision after twenty plus years of members being able to change their av freely. This decision was made for a reason.
