Either they got swamped with new avatar proposals that must be approved by a moderator, or yours does not pass muster (e.g. you don't own the artwork, nudity, etc.).

In the vast majority of cases they cannot know who owns the artwork anyway.

I had a reference to 1965 and 1969 in my avatar – yes, those are the year I was born and the year my owner was born. Are we now also going to ban numbers just because sometimes they might also be used to signal – or even just be misinterpreted as – something sex related? Because if so, I hereby declare that the number pi is to be banned, because when written using its traditional Greek character it looks like two legs and a crotch. Also, all account names that contain 69 (or 88, or ... for that matter) should also be banned. Were you born in one of those years? Sorry, no more erotica for you...

Came back after a hiatus and I'm having the same issue with my avatar as others. Old avatar (which followed the sites rules and guidelines) is just a white circle. I tried uploading a new one and after several days I'm still seeing the same blank avatar. Any help would be appreciated.

Only thing I can suggest is try some time of cartoon or anime! Seems as though they get approved, I know some people are getting real photo's approved, but not sure how!

I'll try anything at this point. wouldn't of normally gone with that, but its worth a try. Thanks. I also am hearing that to continuously try changing it may be moving my place in "line" down. So I'll wait a few more days before attempting it.

Try updating it by going to the Literotica.com main page instead of doing it here through the message board. There is an icon for your avatar at the top right that gets in into your profile. On the right side of the screen, click on "options" and try updating it from there.

Thank you, I tried that.

It appears to be only on the forums that the issue persists. On the main page as well as in my Control Panel, my old avatar is still showing. I've even managed to add a banner background, but nothing seems to cross over to the forums. I appreciate the suggestion however, thanks again.

My avatar here is blank as well. When I tried to fix it, it sent me to my main profile, where my avatar is displayed properly. It's a tight crop on the "eye" from a peacock's tail feather, from a picture that I personally took back when my parents had peafowl, so there's no valid reason for it to be rejected.

It does make it easier to find my thread in the list, as I'm currently the third missing avatar.
