Avatar question

I feel dumb asking this, but how do you select an avatar on this forum? I found a way to add a profile picture, but I'm about 99% sure that is different from the avatar. I'm starting to wonder if I need a certain amount of posts before it allows me to add one. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

You need to have 100 posts first.

As Firebrain said, once you've reached 100 posts, you can have an avatar. There are threads around for the specific purpose of increasing your post count. Once you've reached 100 posts, there should be a sticky somewhere on how to upload an avatar.

It's 100 posts to post an avatar. You can make your own AmPic thread from post 1.
