Message the site admin directly?

I’m trying to reach out to the site admin. I’m reading lots of posts saying to message a certain “Laurel”. But how do I reach her profile to send her a private message? Do I just type in her name and select the only profile with the username Laurel? Apologies if this sounds redundant I’m just incredibly confused.
