Well his last visit here flopped with the blame put on his musos & the venues sound systems, this might have been Ok to blame on venue but he blamed them all.

As for Aussie talent Doc with or without the Angels, Cold Chisel, Eskimo Joe who did a great job with the NRL final & so many other more modern bands.

Bring back the old pub band venuses, a couple of $$$ in & we got to see the best bands around the country.

So how are you after dealing with your wanker boss?

I agree! Loved going to the 3 Weeds and others like it for live gigs years ago. Nothing beats being in the audience and nothing beats the feeling the band gets being so close to the audience either. :D

If meat has ben blaming his musos, they'll never forget that. He'll never, ever regain their trust. Stupid, stupid!

The boss avoided me today. He was supposed to come in 2 hours before I left but was MIA. I'll get the gen when I front up Wed.

Got tommorrow off! *yay*

Gonna spend it shopping. *boo*

The cherubs arrive Thurs *YIPEE!!!* :D

It's all very sad isn't it? It's as if we're seeing his decline.

I can never understand why this country seems to think if an artist (of any kind) is from overseas they have to be better!!!!????

The wealth of talent we produce, that struggle to earn a decent income, and we spend mega bucks for someone who couldn't even understand the venue and audience???? happens all the time. you'd think we'd wise up.

It really sucks that the Aussie pub band system died, we got to see the best Aussie bands for a small amount of dollars up close in a hot sweaty room that really rocked unlike todays big stadiums that demand massive dollars to see so far away from the stage you can hardly see who is on the stage.

It's like so many things, now. The bigger, the better and the more money can be made, especially by the promoters.

The old pub system got shanghaid by smooth talking promoters and the owners of mega-venues. If I need a screen to see the act, I'd prefer to buy the video and watch it over and over!

Mind you, touring is a hard life. A mate of mine has just finished touring WA. It's their last tour and they are very happy about that!

Gil, I tend to sit back and watch when you more experienced thread members chat away and try to get a feel of what people are like.....

You were describing WQ as a softy and marshmallow.....

Do you think she'd be offended to know that I now have a vision of WQ the 'WooQie' ?? (You know those cute furry guys from Star Wars???????) :D :D :D

Oh the soft Marshmellow is who she is to those who know her but I think it would be a whole other person if you get on the wrong side of her.

I'm not seen any Starwars after the very first one which did little to excite me, my interest in SiFi ended a long time ago with movies with Robbie the robot, the Blob etc all so damn funny.

Maybe it's time to put up another full pic for a day or so, that way you can see what I really look like!
Wookies ARE cute - but I think you'd be hard-pressed to call me cute :D
I'm cursed with the strong teutonic features of my forbears!

I call myself a marshmallow, because I feel things deeply... meaning I laugh or cry at silly little things (like when my 19 yr old hugs me, I cry a little, because it happens so rarely these days)

Sounds like the W.Q. we know to me.;)

cutely adv.
cuteness n.
Word History: Cute is a good example of how a shortened form of a word can take on a life of its own, developing a sense that dissociates it from the longer word from which it was derived. Cute was originally a shortened form of acute in the sense "keenly perceptive or discerning, shrewd." In this sense cute is first recorded in a dictionary published in 1731. Probably cute came to be used as a term of approbation for things demonstrating acuteness, and so it went on to develop its own sense of "pretty, fetching," first recorded with reference to "gals" in 1838.

(a.) Clever; sharp; shrewd; ingenious; cunning.
Cute: words in the definition
Clever, Cunning, Ingenious, Sharp, Shrewd,
Cute synonyms
Cunning, Precious,

My LTD is back, and supercharged!
I have POWER!!!
And, we bought another car - a 1971 Chrysler that's been worked, lowered, and goes like a rocket :D She'll be registered as a special interest vehicle, so we can only drive 52 days a year (at least, that's what the logbook will say!)
I need a cheaper hobby

I got all inspired today, and spent the afternoon zapping weeds with a double-strength mixture of roundup.
It hasn't rained for a few days, so the weeds should be sucking this up like a man in the dessert :D
The boys are trickling back home - they won't be happy to hear they have to do the hard work for dinner! My arm is complaining heaps today, so they have no choice if they want to eat ;)

The LTD goes like a bomb! Mega-power now! Even coming up the horror-driveway is a breeze.... most cars have to be kicked down a couple of gears and have a run-up to make it (it's a great driveway - keeps out the riffraff because most can't get up here! No trouble from the religious-types either because it's so hard to negotiate!)

I know :(
It's really bad, coz they make the best firelighters
I think it must be a special ink or something!

(Please tell me you're not one of them, coz I really don't mean to offend - I'm not anti-religious so much as I'm against having my Sundays interupted! Sunday is sleepinandhavelotsofsex day!)

I am laughing so hard IT HURTS!!!!!!:D:D:D

I don't hate the beggars that push inky pamphlets on me, but I can do without them. Don't get me wrong. I'm religious in my own private way. I just do not believe in pushing it on anyone else. If you're so intent on spreading 'the word' get out and live it. Do some real good and actually help someone. It's what people do that makes the difference not words on paper.

I've dot this R-rated vision of you and yours frightening a little old Jehovah's lady on a fine Sunday morning! roflmao

Oh, I have been known to do some completely outrageous things in my time (might be worth asking some of the oldies on here about the 'mattress incident' :D)
I have a personal motto... wq - no fear, no shame, no dignity! Even had it put on a t-shirt :cattail:

'The Mattress Incident', huh?? Maybe I'll hear about it in Brisso? hehe

I get embarrassed REAL easily! Need to get over that!

If you get embarrassed easily, you might not want to have me face-to-face recounting the story!
Better to have it on here - where you have the chance to get away!
Just to let you know how 'out there' it can get - at our first get-together, I was deep-throating a wine bottle on San Souci beach in the middle of the day!

The mattress incident was worse, but waaaay funnier :D

Naaaaah. I'm pretty sure I want to hear you tell it. I like a good dose of hilarity any day! :D

A wine bottle, huh? Hope it was a good vintage!;)

The wine bottle was a spur-of-the-moment thing
Orlanth spanking every woman with a ladybird flyswat - THAT was premeditated!

We have a lot of fun when we get together - I'm bringing my guy this time (shifts permitting) and I'm a little worried he's gonna freak out!
I've tried to prewarn him, and living with me, he should know what to expect! lol

Somehow, Orlanth with a flyswat doesn't surprise me!

Your man seemed to take the comments from Gil alright earlier. Even contributed.;)

It'll be nice to meet you both.

Hopefully his shifts will work for us, and he can be there. We won't know till about 4 weeks prior. Hard to plan for anything with his work.

CadburyCat just brought in her first rabbit - alive
Now I know she really is from feral stock.
The boys were great - caught the bunnie and released it outside (should have killed it, I know)
